Having My Dream Realized

By Betsy Ramser Jaime

Ameh Dirglo is my name.’ Born to Ghanian parents in the Volta region, Ameh is the second child of four children. As a student, Ameh completed both her basic and secondary education. Not wanting to be idle, Ameh desired to build something of her own.

Today she operates her own mobile money business in her community. Her business is located near her home and she would love to expand into selling credit cards, credit transfers, and other services. She could foresee that the more services she made available, the better able she would be able to serve her community members.

Upon joining Zidisha she shared, ‘I seek the support, financially from Zidisha in order to have my dream realized. Loans from Zidisha will help expand my mobile money business in my community, which as well will help purchase and sell credit cards and transfers.’

So far, she has raised loans of $11, $25, $56, $118, and $246. With each loan, as she continues to grow her business, she increases her confidence in herself and her abilities as a business owner.

Recently, on January 28, 2022, Ameh took to her Zidisha discussion page and shared her gratitude with her lenders and wrote, ‘Very very big thanks go to all the generous lenders who helped to fund my project to be used for the proposed purpose.’
