Hi Sulemana, you may request a refund of the total amount of security deposits for all your previous loans, at any time you do not have an outstanding loan, including after every repayment if you choose. This does not happen automatically because withdrawing your security deposit decreases your credit limit (because the deposit is no longer there to offset default risk). If you wish to request a security deposit refund, as explained in the loan publication and confirmation pages, you can send a message to our team from your Help page and we will send your refund right away.
Why is it that after requesting for my security deposit you bring my account to 69 if that is the case I have refund you back the 57 so increase my credit limit back to where it was
Hi Isaac, when you asked for your security deposit refund we asked you to reply confirming that you understood and agreed that this reduces your next loan credit limit. You confirmed and so we refunded your security deposit.
Credit limits decrease when security deposits are withdrawn because the deposit is no longer there to offset the default risk of a larger loan. If you do not want your credit limit to decrease, we suggest waiting until you are finished borrowing large amounts from Zidisha and then withdraw your security deposits.
