Hi,iam so discouraged, if I can apply for a loan of 53,000 ,then my loan is only given around 24hrs to fundraise, after which its funded at 10% and am requested to take 5,000 that has been raised! This will not go along way in my business further more my limit has now dropped to 43,000 ,I think zidisha should look into this matter once again because what our director said is not materializing,, iam just being honest how can a loan be given hours to raise funds?

Sorry Priscilla. I'm also in the same situation but with faith, my loan is currently 34% funded by 199 noble lenders. It's left with just less than 15 hours for the loan to expire but still I have hope and I believe my lenders won't disappoint me.

Therefore just also believe that your loan will be funded even at the last minute

    Hello Priscilla.
I see you've now created a new loan application. Sorry about the lack of funding time with your previous one.
It looks as though it's related to the waiting list being scrapped at the beginning of this week, and the problem being that loans on the waiting list had 30 days to expire but when the waiting list was scrapped it changed back to the normal 14 days for repeat borrowers.
It's also resulted in a lot of loans pending approval this week, although we're now within the 3 business days (in which we aim to review them) for all countries except Ghana.
Sorry about the problems though, and hopefully there won't be that issue in future.

Thanks Dave for the information but please can you enlighten me on why Ghana is an exception?

I think Dave only meant that there was a higher number of loans awaiting approval from borrowers in Ghana, and so it just hadn't been possible to get those all reviewed within 3 business days. I'm pretty sure that's all it was. :)

Hi Dave, thanks for the responding to Priscilla in an honest manner. I also applied for my loan 3 days ago; unfortunately the countdown for fundraising started immediately. This is unfair given that my loan is not available for lenders to fund. In my humble opinion, before loans are approved, the countdown should not start.

Please see Julia's recent announcement that the countdown now does *not* start (as I agree that it shouldn't) until after the loan proposal appears in "Browse Projects": www.zidisha.org/forum-threa...
This went into effect on Feb 17, 2018.

Lawrence, different people work on different country teams but we've now got a volunteer whose main task is reviewing loan applications.

John, I agree, that would be a good idea and it's something we've suggested.
If it doesn't get implemented, hopefully having extra people working on reviewing loan applications now will help.

It's look like the funding time start after the pending review now. One of my mentee under name Endang Rusmiati loan application in the project just few hours ago. She told me that her loan at first will expired on Feb 28, but now I see that her loan application will expired on March 2

Meshack, if the loan expired, then there would be no option to accept or cancel, because there is nothing *to* accept or cancel. There should be a button available for you to create a new loan request. If there isn't, please take a screenshot of your Dashboard and send it in on a Support Ticket to ask for technical help. Please keep in mind that the Forum is intended for generalities only, not for resolving issues on any specific borrower's account. For that, a Support Ticket always should be sent in (and patience is required while waiting for a reply: www.zidisha.org/forum-threa... ) Thank you so much! :)
