Yes ma'am. :)
Doesn't it make you younger because it will make they say happy birthday to you every month? Hehehe. Thanks for this thread.
I'll reply yours next month around 8 of March. Have to make those report that succesfully pile up on my desk.
Good nite Laurie, I wish you have good day tomorrow. ;)

Yes, ma'am to you, too, Fitri! ;)
That will work well, because I don't have a lot of time right now, too.
You're welcome for this thread. Thank you, again, for the other one. :)
Hmm, well, idk about it making me younger. Don't birthdays remind us that we're another year older? Hahaha. I don't mind, though, because I honestly felt older at 20 than I do now (38 years later). Sometime, I'll tell you the reasons why that's true...
Yes, I'll be going to sleep soon. I know it's daytime on Wednesday already, where you are. I hope you have a good day, too. ;)
Well, normally when someone say happy birthday to us, unconciously we will smile and say thanks to them. If many say happy birthaday, we will smile many times. I think there are research that say, smile and feeling happy makes us younger. I hope the music really help you to relax. Don't be sad about the plane, The chief of the competition told me that that pilot easyly got distract so much that on every race he is followed, plane got crashed, can't handle the competition pressure very well. well yeah, I pity the plane though.
Re, "Hmm, well, idk about it making me younger. Don't birthdays remind us that we're another year older? Hahaha. I don't mind, though, because I honestly felt older at 20 than now (38 years later). Sometime, I'll tell you the reasons why that's true"
I would love to know about it. you are quite good story teller. Are you a teacher or a lecture? it show on they way you wrote. I really admire anyone who able to write like you, have many puctuation and know how to use it. I just recently having friendly buddy with this puctuation (;). You can/ may share it by email to me.
Must be nice to work with Ale. I have the experience working with person who give all out her attention with the work that it makes the others fuel up doing the project as we get infected with her entusiasm. :)
I haven't have the opportunity with Bayle. Haven't finish reading the old forum. there are many information on the old forum. Wow, it's look like Jessica have different battery power then us. hehehe. you know, I just re-read your information. If you haven't have the time to visit here it's okay you know, Just come here on October 15 to celebrate Zidisha birthday. I'm the one who felt guilty after promised to you that I will help you in the forum then I forget to check the forum, work happened. But I do love to see you here once week or anytime you able to check the forum. I'm sure many will think the same. Just let us know what date you will active so maybe we can know for sure the apriorite time that you are not on duty checking our post, hahaha ;) I'm joking you know.
Ok, so Alejandra, Reema, Cam, anymore name that need to add for the prayer list to return in Zidisha team again? ;)
btw, is Calle Davis alumni too?
Well, I notice Joshi and Julie who are quite active at the moment. I saw that Joshi has considering join the Virtual voluntering like Joost. We just need make her fire turn up to 100%. Well, make her feel that it will give her amazing experience. At this time, I wish we able to tag someone name, so both of us can persuade her very well, two more powerfull then one right. My brother inlaw quite a mastermind. He will make the others following his instruction and makes the other doing it as it is the right thing to do by their own.
Thank you for answering my comment on the announcement section. Well at that time, I still haven't know how support ticket works. More then 3 of my mentee's having technical error that's I can feel their frustation. I think their problem finally resolve at the end of december or January, quite take a lot of concentration at that moment. Then Dave finally explain how the ticket work and the reason why our ticket reach it's maximum capacity on borrower forum. BTW, are you mind reader? how do you know I help you on my ticket not a complain one?
I think it will a good thing if the technical team put on the help page about how the support ticket work and what kind of problem that need to adreass, why their ticket reach it's maximum. Like write the guidelines for it, ei;
1. Technical ticket, what kinds of problem that listed on this ticket.
2. Support ticket reach maximum when you have 3 ticket which are haven't answered by zidisha staff, please wait until your ticket get answered, or reply one of it if you want to edit the content of the ticket.
3. If you want to upload more then one picture and afraid the quality in a bad one, please reply the same ticket then attach many picture you want to inform in your ticket. (usually MLF refund ticket)
4. Please reply your ticket if you want to follow up your problem if it haven't resolved yet, please do not make a new one, so the staff able to help you from the start of your problem. Please make a new ticket if it about new topic.
5. No news mean good news things or support ticket answered within 3-5 working day US eastern time. Your patient highly apreciate. (What do you think?)
You know, when we are in panic or in hurry, usually many things clouding our minds, so even simple instruction takes it times for us to understand. I think that's why they choose the wrong ticket for their problem.
As far as I know from the forum, the questions usually asked about change their number for payment (Kenya, Ghana, Zambia), uncredited payment, fund haven't receive yet, sometimes about MLF and interest about VM.
Hm, what do you think if you or maybe Dave write on this forum a thread about how zidisha team answer anyone ticket. What are the difficult things the volunteer facing answering the ticket. let us know from the volunteer eyes when you try to help us (the borrowers). I think it will open some borrowers eyes about how the volunteer handle borrowers problem. Who know it will entice another prospective Zidisha Volunteers :). Becuase I notice that there are out there that the Lenders active on their borrower page and help their borrowers to solve their problem by send email on their own to help them, Like Mary, Franmiguel maybe more, I just notice two lenders. Well I do want to know how you guys sort which one the ticket need answer first etc. My ticket always get answered so it is quite strange things to me when a fellow VM friend or my friend told me that their ticket still get no answer. Usually I asked them to share the english ticket from zidisha. because sometimes the translate from google have different meaning. even when I already wrote in my ticket for them that they don't need to answer my ticket as I only want to say thanks or inform them that my problem has resolved, they still answer it. or the volunteer known me as the one who love to write on my ticket, hehehe ;) . sometimes it is better to ask the question through my ticket, it will always get answer whereas in the forum it depend if it read by the volunteer or not, well I'm not complaining you know. I'm sure there are many things for Dave or the other volunteers to do.
The little girl in my profil picture is my niece, we call her Ai. she is pretty closed to me. when she is around 8/9 months, my sister got pregnant again. After her little brother born, I taken care for Ai helping my sister. yeah, I'm sure she loves me very much when Ai in her good behaviour. Morning will be competition time for her with her brother to be the first ready to go to school, she and her little brother in the same class. Sometime she accompany me in my office. My organization is like Zidisha, non profit one, but I get paid ;). We got supported by East Java Sport committe. Many times I work alone in the office, luckyly the new one isn't haunted like the old one. I just have the time to write it now. So see you soon. ;)
Wow! Fitri, lol, I think you have broken my record for long posts!! Hahahaha.
I will come back another time to reply more fully. It wouldn't be until at least sometime in May, though. I have some other things I'm working on for the next couple of months. (So, I won't be able to be in the Forum once a week during that time.) You read my mind. I'll send you email sometime. :)
You know, you can always ask anyone who is a "Country Liaison" to provide your email address to any other borrower, or to any lender, that you would like to give it to, because we can look it up, behind the scenes. That way, you don't have to post it on your public Discussion page. It's usually a good idea not to post private information there. ;)
Oh, I didn't mean it doesn't make me happy to be wished a happy birthday, lol. I just meant it's long past now, so we don't need to keep seeing the birthday thread. ;) That's all. I really loved and appreciated your kind gesture for my birthday. That was so nice of you, and it definitely did make me smile. :)) Thank you again, Fitri. :))
Hmm, you're not the first person to have thought I'm a teacher. Even people who have seen me for the first time, have never heard me talk about anything, and have never seen anything I've ever written, have asked me if I'm a teacher. LOL. Well, my "Life-Path Number" is "4" and it's said that that's a "Teacher" life-path. I did (briefly) consider going into teaching. A side note is that today, in our country, I am so glad I did not do that. I would be afraid to be a teacher or a student here these days. There are so many insane people here (temporarily insane or otherwise) who bring guns into schools. It's absolutely crazy, IMHO.
Anyway, genetically, I'm a night owl. That's one of the traits that's genetically *determined* (just like eye color, hair color, and that sort of thing), as opposed to most genetic tendencies, which are only just that: only tendencies or *predispositions*, but not *predeterminations*... for example, if diabetes runs in the family, you probably know that's only a predisposition, and you can totally avoid being afflicted by it (or can reverse it, if you do get it) by eating the correct foods (whole, unprocessed, and vegan), and beverages (filtered water, lemon-water, etc.), exercising, and sleeping enough and during an optimal block of hours for your chronotype. For me, that optimal time is about 1:30am-9:30am or 10:30am. I have always required a lot of sleep, at least nine hours for optimal functioning, which I think probably is because my lungs have always caused me problems anytime I'm not really very careful in a lot of ways. Anyway, as a night owl--(and how I wish I weren't one!!)--I would never survive as a teacher working traditional school hours. I would be ill very often, as I was when I was younger and was forced to adhere to a morning-lark schedule... I teach in other ways, though. ;)
About writing, I come from a family of writers (many of us, anyway). I don't think some of us in my family can help it very much, lol. That said, my professors used to love my papers because, IRONICALLY--and I quote--"you include only what is important and you don't pad"... LOL... that took WORK, though... to get my papers to that point!! And I could do that work IN PRIVATE. I loathe lack of privacy, and it almost prevented me from saying "yes" when Bayle asked me to start working here. I had to teach myself not to care what other people would think about my "process" or that I have "perfectionist" tendencies, albeit much less so than when I was younger, that is for sure. My younger self would cringe in HORROR at all the errors I make online. LOL. I've often thought how grateful I was that my professors only ever saw my finished product and not my process (well, except for in calculus and other math classes when we had to "show the work", but that's different... that's not writing, lol). ;)
When I was in school, there was no Internet, and there were not even any personal computers in most people's homes or businesses. (It was a much better time, IMHO, lol... except for one very important thing: I would not have met all of the wonderful people I've met since getting online, which I did for the first time in 1999 and have been ever since.) I walked to the campus library, made notes on 3"x5" cards, then wrote out my paper and edited it in longhand, and then typed it (at 90+ wpm) on a manual typewriter. I sometimes (depending on the topic) was able to "flesh out" (but not too much, lol!) and type the paper directly from the 3"x5" cards. I made far, FAR fewer errors back then, too, because I HAD TO. The "Back" button and the "Delete" button available on the computer make people much less careful because, subconsciously, we know those always are there. They are a crutch. It's not good, lol. ;)
Okay, I just saw what you wrote about where you work: "My organization is like Zidisha, non-profit one, but I get paid ;)" Lucky you. :)) Zidisha has lost a lot of very good team members because of not yet being able to pay anyone a living salary, besides the Director and the CTO (and even their salaries are small). Don't be alarmed... I am not "talking out of school"... we are allowed to share that information. ;)
Oh, your old office was haunted? Hmm, you will have to tell us all about that. ;)
I know I am skipping around, but I want at least to say, before I go for the night, that, yes, Alejandra was an absolute joy to work with. :)) I miss her a lot, and I know that others do, too. Oh, yes, to answer you about Callee, she was here only a very short time, and has been gone now for a long time. :(
I know I haven't answered everything yet, Fitri, but I have to log off now. It's about 1:35am, which is just about my ideal time to go to sleep. I am finally starting to feel sleepy, so I do have to go now. :)
I know it's daytime there. I hope you have a wonderful day! :))
hahaha, then I think we need to make little episode for the next chat. I'm not ready for May to come, too soon.
It's Sunny here, so I will and must have wonderfull day, just have to find a way to make it come true. ;-)
Good nite Laurie, and see you in May. ;-)
Ditto, Fritri. ;-)
Laurie, I haven’t seen any (multi page) conversation between you and Fitri today and I am starting to get worried? Are you still okay? ;-)
I'm sure and hope that Laurie is fine. She have mentioned that she unable to check the forum until maybe May or later, btw it just 3 days ago Laurie posted the last comment, and I have new nick name. ;-)
I think her superhero duty call calling there. ;-)
Well, how about you start make another multi page here, share us about your Robot project, or anything you want to share here. Who know the others will fill in until May come. ;-)
I was joking, because the two of you were chatting a LOT the last few days and I was expecting to find a few new long chats.
