About Me

Hello Lenders!

My Names are Mercy Muthoni, I am 27 years old, married with two children.I am a Business Administrator by profession. I worked as an Administrator for a few years and then decided to Join my Husband and help him run his online business.

After graduating from college, I wanted to be a Gospel Musician but my husband could not afford production fee charged by the leading music labels in Kenya. So, I decided to look for a job and shelved the dream of becoming a musician.I worked for a few years and then my husband asked me to resign from the Job and assist him in his online business which had started growing gradually.Today we are great partners and the business is running smoothly.

In future, I want to revive my Music career and record the songs I had already written.I also aspire to spend my free time as a volleyball coach in a local club as I am good at the game.

Thanks
Mercy

My Business

My Husband and I are partners in a business that we run online through Upwork marketplace platform. We offer Accounting and Research services,he heads the Accounting section and myself the Research section of the business.Since we started the business It has grown strength to strength and now we are servicing a long-term client base of about ten.Ranging from corporate to individuals from Europe,Australia,Canada and United States.

Through zidisha loans we plan to expand the business and create Jobs for the youths here in Kenya.

Loan Proposal

Hello Lenders!

We thank you all for the support accorded to our online business so far. It has been a great experience since we joined Zidisha. The previous loans have seen growth of our business in terms of profits through cost cutting and increased revenue per month. Recently we have been able to expand our home office. We are now using the profits to expand our business by Investing in the real estate sector. One of Zidisha agents visited our business and was impressed with our progress.

About five years ago my husband and I used our savings to buy 100*65 feet piece of land in a prime location in the outskirts of Nairobi city. In this land we want to erect rental apartments to supplement our online business income and achieve financial freedom in the long run. My partner applied a loan from Zidisha towards funding on the startup capital. The money was used to pay Architect fees, Structural engineer fee, County government approval fee and Environmental authority fee. He is currently revising the loan and will be completing it in due course.

We would now like to apply for another loan towards financing the following activities:

-Quantity survey fees - $150
-Hoarding the site with corrugated iron sheets - $500
- Septic Pit - $500

Thanking you in advance for your continued generosity towards our projects.

Regards
Mercy Muthoni
