I was born in a family of ten in Mau Ranges which is Kenya's main water tower. My father was working in the Forest Department and was best known for drinking local brews. Being the second born in my family going to school was a miracle and I totally thank God for the far I have gone in life. After school I had to take up the challenge of taking my sisters and brothers to school and am happy to see them in their families.
In 1994 I received Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of my life and since then He has continued to direct my life. In 1997 He blessed me with a spouse by the name Alice and since then He has blessed us with three kids; a boy and two girls. The first born, Willy Mwangi, is in his second year of university education while the second born, Priscillah Wanjiru, is in her third year of secondary education. Our last born Naomi Wahu, has joined class three . We thank God for the far He has taken us. Glory be to His Holy Name.
Due to the heaviness of my family on my shoulders, I did not manage to attend any college. I used to work as a casual laborer in local hotels and restaurants where I gained experience in snack preparations.
In my current profile photo, I hold the new item am selling to my clients, modernized charcoal burn. My main target is women groups. One piece goes for about 40 dollars. This being an American technology, majority of Kenyans has much trust on the products. In a span of two months I have managed to sell well over 250 pieces and with good working capital I can manage to go far. I used to buy one piece at 32 dollars but due to the high demand, the manufacturer has raised the buying price to around 40 dollars. I will also raise the selling price to 46 dollars thus making a profit of 6 dollars. I also do cooking and am feeling this is the way go this new year. Am close to a public university and customer base is not a big problem. Am enjoying it most.
Looking forward to your continued support in the future to come. Thank you and stay blessed.
Charcoal has a lot of waste and is expensive in the long run. Due to its waste makes the products look untidy thus limitation of clients. When I get the gas cylinder my work will be easier and my products will good thus appealing to my clients. I also intend to expand my services to local shops and I know this will give me more profits.
