My name is Daniel Kwarteng. I am a Ghanaian by birth. I come from Fawohoyeden, a farming village in the Asunafo North Municipality in the Brong Ahafo region of Ghana. My parents are Mr. Atuahene and Mrs. Hanna. Currently, I'm in the second year of University for Development Studies (UDS) in Ghana. I am the type of person who says "never say die until the bones are rotten."
My parents are farmers. They farm not for commercial purposes but mainly to feed the family. From the beginning of my education, my father has wanted me to stop and, instead, join him in his work as a farmer. I didn't like that idea so I opposed it. I therefore took it upon myself at a tender age to finance my education up until this very moment. I sell storybooks as my part-time job aside from being a student. I have big dreams to fulfill in my life, at least to be a lawyer.
As I was wondering how I could finance my education, a colleague friend introduced me to the book selling business which supported me in a much greater way until now that I will soon graduate. Since I like this job, I want to establish an ultra modern bookshop and stationery shop. I believe and fully hope to make good profit. I need external help from Zidisha through kindhearted persons like you to help support my dream and plan. I know I could be a source of motivation to my younger siblings. I have to work hard for their good dreams.
Support me with a loan to enable me sell more provisions in my newly relocated shop. I have high hopes to support my family members through the profit I make in my business. Help me sell bags of foreign rice in my business. I need $700 to buy rice and extra $200 for rennovation works on my shop.
