My name is Lidya Awino and was born in Nairobi. I come from a family of eight children.
My mother is the one who was the sole bread winner and taking care of eight children was a task for her.
Having to share everything was a challenge but God has managed to be faihtfull till we are all grown up now.
Being many children i come from an area where peanuts are grown alot.
My siblings and i started getting peanuts frying, grinding them for peanut butter and selling them to make profit in order to cater for our daily needs.
This turned into a major business which has managed to raise us through our lives.
My business now is mainly making peanut butter. i supply them to super markets and sell them to families, friends.
The name of the product is called Victoria Land Peanut Butter. This business is easy as the peanuts take long to go bad and can stay up to one year.
My costs of running the business mainly is buying of tins, labels, peanuts, grinding and roasting in order to get a finished product. This costly mainly is around KSH 10,000.00.
The profits mainly are for school fees of my son,my college fees and also saving up for a roasting and grinding machine in future.
My name is Lidya Awino, and am a Business lady who deals with making and supplying peanut butter. My product is called Victoria Land Peanut Butter.
My customer base for individuals has increased to 100 members thanks to the first loan i received from lenders.
The cost of peanut since January has gone up by 50% making the cost of production expensive and thus have to increase the prices fairly.
If am funded with the loan i will buy 100 kg of peanuts which is a sack actually.
This will produce more than 100 tins of peanut butter, this will enable my supply the 100 individual customers and i will have to adjust the prices fairly so as not to pinch there pockets very much.
The cost of this sack of peanuts is $ 100.00 .this sack of peanut will enable me to increase my supply without delay thus the profit will be 50%. As usual the profit goes to paying the loan first, second go to my savings account and third cost of marketing.
I will be honored and blessed if am able to be funded for this project of peanut butter.
Thanks
Lidya Awino.
