About Me

I am currently working with a credit union. I have also worked with Plan International on project called Banking on Change which was sponsored by Barclays UK. In that project we had groups called Village Savings and Loans Associations ( VSLAs). We assisted those groups to mobilize fund and also loaned it to themselves. Based on this experience, I appreciated your idea and belief and thus I would like to join Zidisha organisation.
Moreover, I am a poultry farmer and I would to expand it so that I will be able to employ more people especially the young ones.

My Business

My source of income is my monthly salary. Though it is not much because it is a community credit union. I wish to expand my poultry farm to increase my sources of income.

Loan Proposal

This amount is being requested to enable me roof my accommodation for the caretakers of the poultry farm. I have to provide an accommodation for those who are taking care of my poultry farm for me. Currently, I am renting for two people who are the farm managers of my poultry farm. I have already put up three bed room house and it is left with roofing. I hope Zidisha will support me with this loan and other loans to enable me roof the building so that my farm managers will have decent place to lay their heads.
Moreover, the farm managers will be closer to the farm because the house is situated on the farm. This will have the advantage of the farm managers taking good care of the farm. Again, if I am able to complete this house I will save enough money because I will not rent again.
Thank you.

The reduction in my installment amount will give me some respite in the loan repayment. Again, businesses have been as good as were expected. I hope to finish paying the loan by the end of time given, 14th October, 2018.
    Thank you.;

    Good morning Dear Lenders,
I am very much grateful to my cherished lenders for extending a helping hand of this loan support to me. I am also happy this morning that my loan has been fully funded. I have planned to use this loan facility to support the purchase of roofing sheets. I need about five packets of roofing sheets and at least the loan will be able to buy two packets of them. This loan facility will assist me to be able to roof my building which will house the caretakers of my poultry farm.
I would like to thank the Zidisha Organisation for the role of linking me to these dear lenders. Without the Zidisha, I would not have had the chance of meeting these lenders. Finally and more importantly, my dear lenders, I say a big thank you to you for your kind gesture and selfless assistance shown to me. May the Almighty God richly bless you. Thank you.

Thank you Joost for the feedback. Please, this was what I read at the site, "Based on feedback from lenders and borrowers, we have opted to make the required credit risk payments refundable to borrowers, in the same way that..."
Please when will the Zidisha refund the risk fund, will it be after loan repayment or upon request? Please more explanation will be needed. Many applicants wish to understand it. Thank you.

      Dear Kwaku,

Borrowers first have to fully pay their loan. All info about the refund is in the FAQ (frequently asked questions). The link is in my previous message.

You have to send a support ticket to get it refunded. Please note that your credit limit is then also lowered (just like the old MLF).
My advice is to keep the money were it is so your next loans credit limit is high) and only use it when you really need it (like in an emergency).

      Kind regards,
      Joost
      Team Zidisha
Ps I am a lender volunteer and not a staff member. If you need help from a staff member then please always create a support ticket using the help menu (www.zidisha.org/borrower/help).

I thank Zidisha and our cherished lenders for their unlimited kindness. I wish to say that Zidisha has done and is still doing very well.
However, my little Challenge recently is the risk fund. I am to post a new loan and I will be charged thirty percent (30%) risk fund which will be deducted at source. I have already contributed Membership Loan Fund (MLF). This is discouraging not only for me from contracting a loan from Zidisha but many other people.
Please, I would like to suggest that if this risk fund policy can be applied to the first applicants for loans because the trust has not established.
Moreover, I am a volunteer mentor and I intend to assist other people to benefit from and understand the activities of Zidisha.
    Thank you.

I have been able to sell my farm produce and I deem it wise to pay the loan faster than the schedule. I have enough money to pay off the loan so that the prospective loan applicants can also have access to the money.
Moreover, I would like to thank my cherished lenders for the support so far. It is their assistance that has brought me to this level. Once again, I thank them very much.

I would like to express my profound gratitude to my lenders for providing funding for me. Secondly, I thank Zidisha Organisation for providing this platform to assist the people in need. The money, one thousand Ghana cedis has actually helped to buy feed for my chickens. The chickens grew well because I was able to buy right and timely feed for them. All this was made possible because of the assistance I had from my cherish lenders. I have been able to make good sale of the hens and hoping to pay back the loan. I still have some hens to sell. May God bless you All and I wish you happy New Year.
