About Me

I graduated from the KNUST where i studied computer science. After completing school in 214, i started searching for a job to earn a living for almost two years without any success. Being the only graduate in my community and the only highly educated person in my family, i had a lot of pressure coming from family and the community to to quickly get a well paid job so i could take care of them and also contribute my quota to the general development of my community. After a long search without finding any job i decided to use the knowledge i learned in school to impart others as well as get some income for my upkeep by establishing an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) center to train basic school children in my community ICT skills as well as engage in documents printing as well as doing photocopies to make some money. My project has since begun with so many students and interested persons within and around my community registering to be trained as IT professionals, My greatest challenge has being my inability to purchase enough learning materials in the form of computers, printers, photocopy machines among other accessories. My ICT center is currently running with only one desktop computer given to me by our Assembly man and an old laptop computer i used during studies in school. It is my dream to see my center grow to become a first class IT learning center which will go a long way to help equip young people of my community and nearby societies with the technical knowledge and skills in information technology, since the world today is run by IT experts. I also envisage myself becoming financially stable from the services i will be providing and the reward that comes with it. I will be able to purchase enough computers and its accessories with a loan from zidisha to help realized this dream of imparting knowledge to people as well as making some money from it

My Business

My business is about the establishment and management of an an Information Communication Technology (ICT) center, where i will be offering training services in general IT skills, printing and lamination of documents, photocopying as well as internet browsing. I intend to expand my business by acquiring more computers and its accessories as well as upgrading my internet system. My main source of funding is from family members as well as my own small savings. It is now my sincere hope that zidisha will also come on board to assist me achieve my target of expanding my business and establishing it as one of the best communication and Information Technology Training centers in my region. the ICT is very important in my community considering the fact that most students in this area lack the computer and information technology skills and the world now been run by the information technology world, it will be good and rewarding if they are given this skill for them to better position themselves to face the future with confidence. The initial investment in the business is usually very capital intensive but having progressed over the past few months i am now able to manage my business with the little proceeds i get from the services i render to people. Going forward i hope to make more profits so i could help sponsor my sister to the university since she has kept so long at home after completing senior high school. i also intend to employ more people to help me run the business if i am able to expand more.

Loan Proposal

This loan when will serve as a major relieve to me considering the magnitude of the problems it will resolve. The loan will be used to acuire the following items that are very key to the success of any information communication technology training and service providing center.
A scanner which will cost 52 dollars.
A printer which will cost 20 dollars
Toner for printing which will cost 20 dollar
Iron gates for the main door which will cost 50 dollars
Internet system which will cost 80 Dollars

The items listed above will help serve the following purpose.
The Scanner is badly needed since most costumers who come here wants their documents scanned. This will help me retain my costumers and make more income.
The Printer is also needed since the the old one is giving me problems and many attempts to fix it has been in vain. A new one will reduce wastage of papers and increase the pace of work.
The Toner play a pivotal role as far as printing is concerned and without it printing cannot happen.
The iron gates are for security purposes. Since i will be acquiring so many new items i need to protect them from thieves and bad nuts around.
I also need an internet system to help increase my costumer base since my students will be able to learn a lot with the availability of internet connection. They will surf the internet to find solutions to simple problems and also keep up with latest happenings around the world.

All these things when done I will be able to raise my profits margins from the current 30 dollars weekly to 55 dollars a week. It will also in the long run help the youth in my community equip themselves with the needed ICT skills to be very useful in society.
