About Me

Hello, am Pacifica matoke, am 52 years old I reside in Kisii County. Am a house wife who mostly handles household chores but as part of earning extra income I managed a farm where I have planted bananas that I harvest twice per a month.
am blessed with two sons and the most money I generate from the farm helps to pay for their education.

My Business

My work mostly is with the my compound, as part of Making myself useful I started to plant bananas in the year 2013, at the moment I harvest bananas twice a month then sell them at a wholesale price to guys who take them to the city to sell.
I harvest 20 bananas per a harvest, then I sell at a wholesale price of KES 250 so in a harvest I make KES 5000, in a month I make at least KES 10000 from the bananas.
I use KES 100 to weed the farm and the rest I use it to for my sons' school fees and other expenses at home.

Loan Proposal

hello dear lenders, i hope yo doing well, i would like to say a big thank you for your support. i was able to get the chicken from my last loan, this new loan will help me get more chicken, build a nice chicken house and also buy growers mash for my chicken. i will invest 320 dollars in buying 30 chicken at 4 dollars per a chicken, then use 200 dollars to buy the materials i need to build the chicken house, the remaining 80 dollars i will use it to buy chicken feed for my chicken. i sincerely hope you will consider funding my loan and help me achieve this goal.
thanks in advance and God bless you.

Income Source

With the pandemic things have been tough, with the situation i have to think out of the box and find a better way to reach my customers, i decided to deliver my bananas the the customer's homes, this has helped me keep my clients whi are not able to come to my farm, i also deliver the eggs. As i do this I ensure that am taking and following all thr precaution measures put in place to curb the spread of covid 19.

Hello lenders, thank you for your continued support in my projects, i was able to get more chicken from the loan, i decided to go for the 2 weeks old, i also spent part of the loan to vaccinate them and buy feeds. I decided to go for younger chicken since it will make it easier for me to schedule vaccination and will ensure i get a longer productivity period from them.
I have done a good chicken house where i will transfer them to once they are 8 weeks old.

Hello Pacifica, wish you all the best for your business.

So is it mainly chickens/eggs now? Have you though about raising any other crops/vegetables besides bananas?

Thanks Josh, I still have the banana farm, chicken is another project, this to help me expand my resources. There other crops I plant along side bananas but they are small scale, these are like beans, groundnuts and vegetables.
