My name is Herma Keter. I was born in Trans Nzoia District in Cherengany. I am a 25 year old lady. I stay in Mombasa at Leisure near Bombolulu. I am a Christian. I am the third born in a family of 6. I work as a travel agent in Mombasa and also run small businesses. I am a holder of a Diploma in Tourism Management from Narok University College. I started my business to earn a living and also as an option B in life incase my employment is terminated. The earnings I get from my business go direct to stock and other personal emoluments like family related as I have siblings and parents who also rely on me. My business has been of help to me and it really boosts me financially.
The name of my business is Herma Beauty and Boutique. The location of the business is in Mombas. I deal with beauty products such as shampoo, Clothing, hair, make – up, salon. There is demand for these products especially ladies are my main clients and as you know a lady can’t go without making her hair or use of new clothes in the market. My clients prefer my business because I normally have pocket friendly prices and I charge them fairly an added advantage is that I have staff who are professionals. The risks and challenges are licenses but once you have the licenses to operate business a business that you are good to go.
My monthly earnings are 52000
Rent + staff salary + electricity + stock = 42000 so my total profit per month is 10,000/=
I am planning on adding more stock to my business once the loan is received. On stock addition i am positive that it will yield more profits hence it will enable me fend for my personal needs like rent payment, electricity and food and that will also enable me help my family. I am expecting a 40% profit increase once the stock is added.
