About Me

I am a single mother aged 42 years old ,born in Trans nzoia district (kitale -kenya) .I have two children ,the first one is a daughter just completed primary school education and joining form one next month. The other child is a boy in class seven .I myself have completed O level education but did not continue with college due to financial problems .After two years of my O Level I joined a course of knitting in catholic church near by .I finished the course in nine months time then I was employed as a knitter of sweaters in a private sector .
I found it difficult because the wages which I was being given were Not enough to meet my needs.I moved from trans-nzoia kitale place called Bikeke to Eldoret .In Eldoret I was still employed in private sector though at a much better pay than before.

My Business

During the period of my employment I was working under hash conditions which made me uncomfortable ,I was unable to tolerate so I decided to open up my own business ,I saved some money which enabled me to buy my own knitting machine and started working .I normally knitting sweaters and sell at a friendly price which attract many customers than my competitors. I decided to venture into such business because many pupil go to school in the area and the region where I live more than half of it is normally cold during the year thus demand every parent has to but sweaters for their children. Demand is high but the only challenge that I face is lack of enough capital especially when school are opening because the orders I normally have are always more than I can handle .My major market is supply of sweaters to schools and open air markets. My monthly cost of running the business is US Dollars 280 while average Gross profit before the expenses is usually approximately US Dollars 390
The following is how I normally use profits from the business:-30% School fees,50% Up keep i.e food and rent,5% Savings ,10% increase my business stock and 5% I support my aged mother.

Loan Proposal

Thanks all Zidisha lenders for giving me a chance to be part of the beneficiaries of your loan funding.
If I will be funded then I will use the loan i.e all the 350 US Dollars to wool for making sweaters for resale in the near by open air market .I believe that through your funding stocks will increase and I will never be stranded again for under supply.

Looking forward to our wise and best consideration.God bless you abundantly
