About Me

I started these business of laying of Kienyeji chicken to ad d up more cash on my salary because my daily bills has risen too much that i am not able to handle them with the current salary.laying of the chicken has helped me much and my family .we started with 10 chicken that were laying eggs and 2 cocks in the year 2013 January and now i have 50 hens 12 cocks and 23 few weeks old chicks.
Also where i live there is a big demand of chicken and pigs meat (white meat)also the environment around is conducive for these kind of farming.

My Business

I am in farming business which i have kienyeji chicken .i chose to start these business due to high demand of white meat in the country.lather than going to the broiler way.in these business i fetch more cash with my produce because for a mature chicken they go for a minimum of USD11 and i manage to sell 8-15 chicken per month .i wish to add more chicken in my farm so that i can meet the demand of my clients .and also am looking forward to start laying pigs before the year ends.
In laying of pigs i want to start with 5 .i know there is a big challenge on feeding pigs but i have done a study on how to start a Hydroponic farming that will help me with the pigs fodder.i will inform you more when i start the second project.

Loan Proposal

I am very greatfull for the first loan i have started getting more profit from it .the profit has risen by 15%.
In my second loan am planing to buy a water tank to add on the one i have so that i can store more rain water at these time the rain has started.these tank will help me in not to go to the river to fetch water when the rain stops or on dry seasons..these tank will also be only for the chicken and i use the other tank for domestic pouposes .
The tank costs USD 135 and i will spend USD 10 on putting on gutters to collect water to the tank and USD 5 i will spend for putting the pipes to the chickens cage.
I make a profit of USD 280 per month by selling full grown up chicken and also selling eggs.i am also employed as a Bar manager which i get usd 115.i will use some of my profit and my salary to repay my loan.
