About Me

I grew up without a father and as the first born son, a lot of responsibilities were on my shoulders from a very young age. Am therefore walking in my destiny as a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ - with now a greater burden of handling people from all walks of life. Coming from a region with a very high HIV AIDS prevalence, am also directly responsible for the wellbeing of orphans - some of my own nieces and nephews from age 3years to 25 years whose parents are not alive -who are in different stages of school in life.

I overcame hardship by being sponsored to study a diploma and degree in Theology while volunteering as a pastor in my hometown. I then ventured in subsistence business of selling fish, cakes, fish oil to support all these defendants around me. On getting married, I had to re strategize and look for how to support them without depending on the ministry since I was still volunteering as a Pastor.

That's how I ended up running a small food kiosk.

My culture loves white collar jobs but I have seen that the only way to run ministry of the gospel, supporting the vulnerable and orphans in my society, then my family, running this small business venture is a better option.

My children-who are in their teens - a daughter wants to be a doctor and the boy an entreprenuer and media house owner.

I love walking, meeting new people, reading books, being current with affairs.

As a change agent, I have peace when I see a life transformed out of guidance and counseling up until the vulnerable and rejected are now accepted and walking in confidence that they too can and will make it.

My Business

My income source is in supplies of fish, chicken, cakes and a food kiosk. But to be able to run successfully, I need a financial boost so as to have a larger supply of food than am currently doing. This will give me additional float to run the food kiosk and met the demands of new customers.

Due to change in devolution of government, clients today want goods and services delivered at their doorstep. So for the service providers who are going this extra mile like me delivering food supplies to offices and homes, there is a unsatisfiable demand.

I choose this business since the demand for natural andbwhole fresh foods is high and also to be able to support the vulnerable children and adults under my watch and ensure my children do not miss school and feed better.

My typical costs include
Expenditure= Kes29500/- day
purchase of flour, rice, vegetables, fish, milk, meat, varied vegetables(saga, terere, kunde, cabbage, sukuma), sweet potatoes, arrow roots, potatoes, cassava, charcoal, transport, salaries for support staff, rent,
Sales= kes37,000/-

Hence profit per day oscillates between kes5000/- to 10000/-.

Each day the helpers assisting me with the kiosk tell me -we have finished all the food and at times am forced to rush by public transport to purchase food midday then have the cook go back to the fire to cook fresh food.

90% of the time the profits support partially school fees, clothes, food, toiletries of the vulnerable and orphaned under my care, a roof over my head, food and my families needs. I have no budget for any luxury since needs just surround me in my community.

Many times I alternate these needs and reinvesting in the business.! I try to balance depending on my plan

The loan will help me buy more supplies, put the kiosk on Facebook and also purchase a second hand laptop and modem for Internet. I will reach a wider clientele then am currently doing.

Loan Proposal

With the loan, I will be able to purchase more food supplies, fish, meat, chicken and flour for the food kiosk and supply of cakes to the high demand.

In addition, a will sign up the kiosk on Facebook and eventuall purchase a second hand laptop and modem for Internet for promoting my Facebook page.

This will help me to be able to support the vulnerable and orphaned directly under my care without subjecting my family to negligence.
