About Me

I joined secondary school at Kasoa Secondary School. Due to lack of school fees, I could not go further and also because my mother used to be sick throughout until villagers came to our help. Later, I got another pastor who offered to take me to Polytechnic where l trained as a dressmaker and learned a bit of typing. After that, I went back home and stayed a bit, then later came to Nairobi and worked as a house help. That is where I got some money and started a small business but with difficulties. I struggled with my business, but was able to raise enough money for renting a house and for the school fees for my children. In the course of struggling, I met with a friend who advised me to join Zidisha. She further informed me that I could borrow extra money and stock my business.

My Business

I started my clothing production business 2 years ago with capital of 1000 Ghanaian cedi. I bought a sewing machine and some few cloth materials and I paid the shop rent. At that point, I was ready to move on with my business. At first, it was not all that easy; I struggled and after some time it stabilized. I can now pay rent without struggling and make extra profit to make life move on. I do make a profit every month having deducted all the business expenses.

Loan Proposal

l thank you for the countless support offered to invest into my dress making business . please lenders l am appealing for this loan to buy two additional sewing machines and varieties of cloths for my dress making business and this will increase my profit by 20% which some will be used to pay my children's school fees and repay my loans thank you and may God bless you.

Although this loan was originally scheduled to take 22 months, it was paid off in just three months. I wish you continued success.

After making a small payment early in the loan, Odei paid the bulk of the loan about a month later. I am pleased to see you creating employment opportunities for others.
