I am the third born in a family of 8 children. With such a huge responsibility, my parents had a difficult time bringing us up, often being send home for school fees when other students were studying.
Despite the challenges, i was a determined person and managed to get to the university, where I am currently studying.
I run a fresh fruits kiosk adjacent to my campus where I sell fruits and fresh fruit juice to students and university staff. Its a challenging franchise because I devote more time to it than my class work but its all i have to do because the proceeds cushion me from the harsh financial realities a student faces. I chose this kind of business because its easy to establish and the legal requirements involved are few.
Moreover, I love encouraging people to lead healthy lifestyles and with fruits, Its walking the talk.
My capital was $100 that was used in acquiring license for $20 and purchase of my first stock of fruits valued at $50.
In addition i purchased a blender at $20 and royalty of $5 because its an outdoor activity.
On a monthly basis, I make at least $50 in profit and use almost two thirds of it for my upkeep and servicing my education
I will use the loan money to purchase a blender at $ 20. I will also increase my stock by $ 20. This will entail mangoes at $ 5, oranges at $ 5, bananas at $ 10 and water melons at $ 5.
The remaining money will be set aside for contingencies.
This will enable me to focus more on production of fresh fruit juice for my customers who have been asking me to make it for them.
With this expansion, i project my profits per week to increase by roughly $ 10.
