About Me

I am a God fearing business oriented mother who loves to help others especially the needy and vulnerable by running a mini mothercare business.

I studied languages at the Ghana Institute of Languages having undertaken courses in French, Spanish and Arabic.

My business was conceived because of my love for children and my will to ensure that every child is given a fair chance to survive.

Having 3 adorable kids of my own, I was fascinated by the financials involved in taking care of children. It can be daunting on parents to provide the best they can for their babies.

As such, I decided to venture into the business of providing mothers with high quality but very affordable baby products.

Children are the future generations of every nation, just as us adults once we're. Every mother, no matter their income level or geographical location deserves to provide healthy baby products for their children.

I have pledged to make sure that I can expand my business so that all mothers across the length and breathe of Ghana can have access to affordable baby products.

My Business

The structure of my business is currently the marketplace model where I have leveraged the wholesalers of the baby products to offer their products at the wholesale price so that my clients can afford them.

This gives my business a competitive edge as my products are cheaper than the same products on the shelves of most shops.

With delivery services available, my business is able to deliver products to clients for a minimal fee.

Monthly credit discounts are also provided for mother's that are purchase products in more quantity.

Loan Proposal

Children are the future generations of every nation, just as adults once were, thus deserve a fair fighting chance to survive diseases and have better healthcare.

Being a mother of 3 adorable kids, I do have a experience in taking care of children and the know the healthcare cost implications associated.
Many parents especially those in poorer rural communities have it so hard to provide the best they can for their babies during normal economic conditions - but harder now that the economy has been affected by the Covid 19 pandemic.

Speaking to various nursing mothers during my pre and post natal appointments at the hospital gave me a wakeup call to help fellow mothers.

There is a high infant mortality rate in rural communities in Ghana:

It’s hard for me to think that after all these years there are still such high maternal and newborn mortality rates in Ghana. I think part of the problem is that there are so many gaps and bottlenecks in underserved communities and health systems around the country. Sometimes communities just aren’t aware of the importance of health.

According to the Ghana Health Service data, the current infant mortality rate for Ghana in 2020 is 33.701 deaths per 1000 live births, a 2.79% decline from 2019. The infant mortality rate for Ghana in 2019 was 34.668 deaths per 1000 live births.

This is an alarming statistics which is directly dependent on the lack of proper healthcare supply and medical cover by most affected mothers, majority of which are in the poorest rural areas of the country.

The business of providing mothers with high quality but very affordable baby healthcare products ensures that babies grow healthy and their mothers
earn some money at the same time by purchasing and partnering with my business.

With extra funding from the loan, my business can expand by purchasing & increasing stock levels as well as creating more hubs/distribution or pick up centres in many rural communities across the country. This ensures that more mothers can have access to affordable baby healthcare products.

Partnerships with many wholesalers of baby healthcare products approved by the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) having been established ensures that most products will be purchased at high discounts and thus become more affordable for most mothers irregardless of their income levels.

With this extra funding, more and more products will be shipped from the city centres to the rural areas where hubs have been created (or will created as more hubs are needed) to ensure that more mothers receive healthy baby products.

Creating more direct and indirect jobs to facilitate the smooth running of this business is also a goal. With some of the employed being these same mothers I intend to help, I will enroll some of them into an existing affiliate and referral marketing program. This will aid them get extra income to take care of their babies and also receive some baby products as rewards for set targets achieved. Others will be enrolled into our distribution team.

As the business grows and more funding are generated, doctors, nurses and health practising officials will be contracted to offer general baby healthcare consultancy services starting with registered members of the business.

The end goal is to reduce baby mortality rate. The future and the continuation of humanity is our babies, thus more support is needed for this goal to be achieved.

Income Source

With the risk faced by many businesses in this economic climate, it's indeed possible for businesses to generate revenue.
In order to circumvent this issue, my business will adopt and continue using the following programs to increase revenue and keep the mission of delivering baby healthcare products to all mothers.

1. Affiliate Marketing Program.
By tapping into the power of affiliate marketing to start an affiliate program for my business, I will drive high-quality peer-to-peer awareness about my business and generate sales very affordably. Benefits of the affiliate program include:

a. It Boosts My Business's Brand Awareness & Goals:
With affiliates talking about my business all over their communities, local groups and internet, my brand awareness will increase tremendously, leading to more customer reach and more non-affiliate sales as well.

b. Increase in Sales:
The end result of affiliates driving high-caliber awareness and traffic to my business is the generation of more customer purchases of products and resulting in sales increase proportionally. Most customers that will be reached through affiliate marketing will be customers that will afford to purchase from us.

c. Controlled Cost of Marketing - Only Pay for Performance:
Unlike the conventional advertising, which can be risky, affiliates only get paid after they’ve generated sales for my business first. Thus no extra money will be wasted on advertising that doesn't generate sales.

d. Existing Customers Already Want One:
Customers already sharing my brand will be thrilled to hear they’ll now get rewarded for it, which will incentivize them to promote my business even more!

2. Customer Subscription Program.
By operating a subscription-based business model through the alpha and beta programs my business will generate a constant flow of revenue from customers that will have the option to pay annual fees of make deposits towards future purchases. The benefits of a customer's subscription include:

a. Alpha Customer Subscription Program.
Customers will have pay an annual fee to secure partial discounts on a huge selection of eligible items throughout the year as well as free same-day shipping on all purchases.

b. Beta Customer Subscription Program.
Customers will have to pay a 50% deposit on any item they will want to purchase as a pre-order fee (3 months before the actual order date) to secure a 20% discount on a huge selection of such eligible items throughout the year as well as free same-day shipping on all purchases. In addition, they can have stock reserved for them in times of stock shortages.

With the products being cheaper than the cost of the same products on the shelves of most shops, my business will have an advantage.

A minimal fee will be charged to deliver products to clients for a minimal fee and also generating further income.

Credit discounts will also be provided for mother's that purchase products in more quantity so they can save extra money thus encouraging them to buy more.

Thanks
