About Me

I am 28 years old, a graduate with a bachelor degrees in Environmental Science. Since childhood I have beat all odds to reach my level of education, being an orphan. I used to work for people in order to pay my school fees. On top of that I was growing vegetables, sell and provide school fees and food for my siblings.
With all these hardships I managed to get government sponsorship that enabled me join university, after excelling in high school exams. I am a role model to my two siblings who are soon joining higher learning through my effort.

My Business

After graduating, getting a job was not very easy so I continued growing vegetables with my savings from loan I was being given back in the university. I also managed to start poultry farming, where I was keeping chicken, their droppings utilized to improve soil fertility for the crops I was growing.
Returns ranged from Ksh. 80000 to Ksh. 130000 in every six months
A quarter of the return was saved, half of the remainder was used for my siblings schooling and the other half for basic needs.
Through networks, a colleague connected me with a telecommunication company where I now sell its products in a shop I started.

Loan Proposal

I would like to buy fertilizer for my vegetable farm. DAP fertilizer for planting costs about $25 and CAN fertilizer for top dressing costs about $15. I want to purchase two bags of DAP fertilizer and two bags of CAN fertilizer. This project will increase my financial stability thereby increasing my well being through improved living standards. My kids will have a decent education.
The community as well will not have to walk for long distances in search of vegetable. This will save their time and cost of travelling, this will give them ample time to engage in other duties.
Vegetable is healthy and therefore both my family and the community at large will have a healthy lives by consuming my vegetable.
I will also train those who wish to venture in this business so that they too can earn a living from growing the vegetable.
It is indeed a good project the will benefit both parties; my family and the community.
Thank you so much.
