About Me

My name is Magret Phiri I am a 30 year old female who resides in Lusaka Zambia shantumbu chalala. I have a husband and 5 children whom I support entirely. I have a small farm that I started about 5 years ago when I first acquired some personal land of my own. I am a small scale commercial farmer, for 5 years I haven't been in any formal employment but my crops have been able to sustain my household together with paying of school fees of all of my 5 children.

My Business

I am a small scale farmer. I grow various crops which include vegetables and maize which I sale to marketers and also for home consumption. My business has been sustaining my family for 5 years now and I am happy to say that it has been sustaining my household financially.

Loan Proposal

Right now as farmers we are preparing for the second quarter of the year as the rainfall will come to an end very soon we are trying to be more economical with water and irrigation. That's why with this loan I would like to purchase and agricultural storage tank in order to store water like a reservoir for the crops to survive the rest of the year to come. Irrigation is expensive as it uses up alot of electricity . With the money I have saved up from profits and the loan I am applying for I would like to purchase an agricultural water tank.

Income Source

Businesses do face risks, but because of the fruitful harvest I have had the first quarter of the year i am sure i am going to have a fruitful year. I yielded a great source of profits so wth no doubt I will be able to pay back this loan with ease
