About Me

My familyconsists of 3 brothers and 1 sister ,my family has ventured alot into farming business which is poultry, goats, cows and crop farming.I live at dzalamkadze mtwapa area,i schooled till fourth foam with some experience in hotel industry and travel.I started poultry business because this sustains people annually and chicken are always in demand.I have purchased a small piece of land with my few earnings and am intending to build a small family house.
In the interest of making the business grow i will look into buying more piece of land and build houses to generate more income.

My Business

The business is poultry farming and crop farming, the produce is chicken and maize.
Demand for chicken is there always in local cafes and hotels etc and maize is consumed locally as staple food so maize is in big demand.
Customers prefer the business because i sell most of goods fresh from the farm and in big and small quantities,so all can afford.
The business is profitable because i keep poultry in big numbers ,so i get some profit ,i also harvest maize in bulk so its easy for me to make some profit as i sell in big bulk sacks at ago.

Loan Proposal

am taking this chance to post my loan f9or funding again. with this being my second loan am planning to use this loan in two. this means i will use 100,000 to buy a ready milking dairy cow and use the rest on buying of more chicks that i will add into my poultry. and also use some on buying food for the younger and growing up chickens into my poultry. this will make me in a better position in daily and monthly earnings of which it will improve my living standard well.

Dear zidisha thank you for supporting me this far i have made some changes in my repayment schedule and this is because my dairy cow was experiencing a problem of mastiatis and i need only to use the milk from the not affected teets so my production is not enough to do my monthly payments even the vetinary doctor has advised us to try and milk the dairy cow 3 times a day and we hope it will help and get us to the normal daily production.
    Thank you for your support.

Greetings dear zidisha thank you for supporting me this far but there is a condition facing my dairy cow which is restricting me not to sell the whole dairy production everyday and the big problem is mastaitis which is making me milk only the teets not affected the ones affected i milk and through away the milk.
At the moment the dairy cow is not giving me enough supply to sustain my payment of the loan and the vetinary doctor has advised us to try and milk the dairy cow 3 times a day so it might solve the situation.
    Thank you for now.

    Hi Mr Konde,
Thank you for your first loan payment, which was posted today.
I understand from your recent message that there is more competition for sales of chickens than you thought there would be. Is this also true in milk sales?
Please keep us informed of your progress. We would be interested to hear from you.
    Best of luck,
    marvin

Thank you very much Zidisha and lenders.

Hello Dear lenders and Zidisha well am doing ok but as usual challenges are here and the broiler lot i have are ready to sell but it has been very hard to get the market and i believe there is many chicken in the market from the farmers to be sold that is why selling has been a big challenge.
The broiler chicken are in there 6th week and up today i had not sold a big number.
Well i keep on working extra hard and am looking at maybe finish selling them by the end of this week if all goes well.
It has been one of the worst weeks of selling compared to the other times of selling.
I hope all will open up and i will finish selling my broilers and plan for the next project if all goes well.
    Thank you very much.

Hello Dear lenders and zidisha am doing well and the projects are going on well.
My broiler chickens are doing great and this is their 4th week which is getting me closer to their selling days.
Growth rate is ok and mortality has decreased for now but am still keeping the broilers on drugs since the problem was still there.
Hopefully by next week i will start to sell the broiler chickens if the weight is right and i hope if all goes well to try and sell the broilers by their weight which might give me good earnings if the broilers are heavy and well fully grown.
I hope the selling will also not take long so i can arrange and bring new day old chicks if i start selling the broiler chickens it is advisable to book early due to the problem of limited amount of day old chicks which is a big challenge at the moment.
    Thank you.
    Asante sana.

Jambo,Hello Dear lenders am doing great and well.
My broilers chickens are growing well and the growth is great.
Tommorow will be friday and the broiler chickens will be going in their 4th week and as from the 4th week then i might be looking at their gross weight which can now allow me to start selling them.
At the moment we are trying to face the challenges for the prices as the feeds prices went up so we are making the changes in prices slowly by slowly although the people or buyers we are dealing with some are willing to accept the changes some are not willing to accept the price changes.
Am sure once it get busy in the market all will go well and they will be accepting the changes in prices.
If the selling is good then i will get good earnings from my broiler chickens and can do more.
    Thank you.
    Asante sana.

Hello,Jambo Dear lenders am going on well.
On the farm am doing ok as am also getting some fruits like paw paw and passion fruits and it is good because at the moment people are coming to the farms to buy these fruits and they are in plenty like the paw paw and am getting good prices because am selling the fruits in large amounts.
Am also selling hot fresh pepper which i also sell in large amounts because i have plenty of them in the farm.
Am also selling green vegetables as well in the names of mchicha and cow peas leaves as well and mostly the ladies from my village come to the farm to buy these green vegetables and go to sell them in the market in smaller bits.
On the selling list is tomatoes which are doing ok and women from the market can get as well and can go and sell them at the market in smaller portions as well.
I hope the few rains we have around will continue but the sun is coming strong so if it gets more dry then i will start to water the crops.
    Thank you.
    Asante sana.

Hello, jambo Dear lenders and Zidisha am doing great.
Last evening i did manage to get some wood shavings 2 sacks and i had to enlarge the area which has the broiler chickens and did put the new wood shavings.
Spacing is very very important and these helps in reducing crowding in the same points of the brooder and gives the broiler enough room to eat the feeds and to drink .
At the moment even their eating has changed and they are eating more feeds than when they were chicks this normally makes me to change feed trough and as well change the water drinkers to bigger ones.
When at this stage i need to put the feeders and tie then on on a rope up the room because they can eat at high and this helps the chickens not to pour.
Am sure i will be able to get good quality mature broilers once ready.
    Thank you.
    Asante sana.

Hello,Jambo Dear lenders and ok,thank you.
My broiler chicks are now on the 3rd week and the growth and progress is ok.
Am working very hard with vitamins, minerals and suppliments because this increases the growth of the broiler chicks, helps in maintaining appetite and helps in fertility.
As from this week towards the end the i will be introducing broiler finisher meal gradually till i fully introduce the broiler chicks to the broiler finisher meal which is bigger in size interms of the pellets.
Once the broiler chicken are fully introduced to the broiler finisher meal then it is time to feed them to make sure they get me the required weight and get good selling prices.
If i can manage to manage the broilers well then am sure i will get quality fully matured broiler chickens for sale and this will enable me to have good sales.
    Thank you.
    Asante sana.

Jambo.Hello Dear lenders am well and ok.
In the farm the maize is going on well and the weeding is going on well.
Am also trying to put manure or droppings round the fresh growing maize plants and this enhances growth, conserves and retains moisture as well as giving the maize plants stability.
At the moment the maize is still flowering and it needs alot of attention and care and this will help me get enough produce which can sustain my family.
Am still encouraging my people back at the farm to work very hard in weeding as if the weeds are many and grow a lot they destroy the growing maize and this will effectively make me get small produce but attention is needed alot in making sure that there are not many weeds in the farm.
I will be greatful if i get good produce as it will help sustain my family with food hopefully till next year.
    Thank you.
    Asante sana.

Jambo,Hello Dear lenders and Zidisha am doing ok and well.
On Saturday i had a busy day as i had to make sure that i remove the littered wood shavings from the chicken house and replacing it with the new on.
But due to the shortage of wood to be cleaned in the wood work shops which remove the saw dust it was impossible for me to get enough wood shavings to put in the broiler chicken house and extending the space for the broilers in the house.
So i had to take what i got the wood shavings was 2 sacks and because the other litter in the broiler house had over stayed the i had to remove the dirty littered wood shavings replacing it with the new wood shavings.
But since i did not get enough wood shavings then i did not extend the part which i was using as the brooder since the chicks were smaller and this i will extend once i get more wood shavings.
The size of the brooder extends as the chicks grow and this goes from stage to stage.
    Thank you.
    Asante sana.
