About Me

My name is Hellen Mtawali. I work in the entertainment industry. I spot out upcoming talent in my country and nurture them to be great musicians. I have been able to support upcoming talent however sometimes funds are scarce. Sometimes people whom we have given service do not pay in time. I hope with this loan scheme I can be able to top up and continue nurturing talent as well as buy music equipment for students.

My Business

I am the founder of a music band called AFRIZO VOICES. we sing songs from all over Africa. We provide live band music. .I wish to thank Zidisha for being able to support my work by providing funds that help me grow my business. So far I have been able to buy microphones sound, books and a computer for our DJ with the help of sponsors from zidisha. This has been able to make people hear quality music and so thanks to the Zidisha team. Profits that I make have been used to increase equipment and buy whatever is useful to facilitate the team. More members have joined my music team indicating that positive feedback has been achieved by people loving my music and more members signing in for music training. Thanks to zidisha for enabling me to progress.

Loan Proposal

Once again I am so greatful for a team such as Zidisha that has enabled me see my dream come to pass. I am happy about having bought microphones for our use and the quality music that has been achieved. Now this time I wish to have an amplifier for the sound. I have been able to save some money to buy one. However I need some amount to top up and this is where Zidisha comes in. A good amplifier is very expensive but thank God I have saved some amount that can get me close to what the music shop requires. If Zidisha tops up for me with about 9,000/- Ksh which I qualify for, I shall be able to purchase an amplifier. Thank you for making me expidite this process. Blessings

Originally scheduled to take four weeks, this loan was paid off after about ten weeks. I enjoy supporting people that have their act together.

Hellen only received $10 of the $92 she requested. She paid this off with a single payment a week later. I look forward to helping again with such a unique and inspirational business.
