About Me
I grew up in Nima 441, a zongo community in Accra. When I completed my senior high education, there was not funds for me to continue my education so I started learning dressmaking from my mum who was sewing by then. In order to support myself and my family I started sewing on my own. I have 2 children who wants to be a Doctor and a Pilot in future. I als teach young girls who have dropped out of school. I love fashion since my childhood that is why I am still sewing.
My Business
I have a shop where I sew and also have young women learning under me. I sew for women and young girls. Dressmaking is very useful and in my community and it's always on high demand. In a week, I earn about 600 cedis. The income from my work is used to reinvest in my business and also pay some bills.
Loan Proposal
Due to the demand increase, I will need another sewing machine to enable me work. The machine will cost about 150 dollars and it will be of much benefit to me and my apprentices. We will be able to work more and earn more.
