About Me

I am the sixth born in the family of 9, I was born in the year 1980, I went to school at Indangalasia primary school, I joined class one in the year 1991 and did my K.C.P.E in 1999. From there I joined form one at Bukolwe secondary school of which due to lack of school fees i dropped out of school in the same year (2000). from there I went back home and helped parents in farming for a period of one year. In the year 2002, I came to Nairobi in search of any job, it is here that i landed in the good hands of my friends whom we trained together in doing arts, mainly painting, curving and moulding.
It took me two years to learn and to begin doing what could at least attract my buyers, this is now what took me into business aspect. I got married in the year 2008 to a lady named, Peninah Anyango we have two children, Mary Jenipher and Eniola Cecilia aged 4 and 1 and half years respectively, All my wife's and my two children's needs, I am the one taking care of.

My Business

My business is situated in Huruma, I began doing this work on my own in the year 2004, from there I have been going through all the challenges that come together with it, I have also learnt a lot in the process of doing this business the major challenges that I've gone through are as follows, introducing new items in the market especially when you know the product is good for the market at that season, you have to persist until the buyers perceive and get attracted with the products, the other challenge is the middle men who get our items at a cheaper price and sell them at a price three times what they've given us, lastly financial challenge, sometimes i receive orders and i do not have money to buy raw materials to do the work hence giving middle men an advantage to cash for this shortcoming. Despite all these challenges from this job, i manage to pay my House rent, buy food and also one of my kids i pay for her school fees, my earning is currently less than Kshs 10000, which is approximately $112 per month. I therefore believe that given chance by zidisha to grow my business, I will do my best to improve in my production.

Loan Proposal

Thanks to you Zidisha once again for this opportunity. This time around i have decided to bring to my market new products besides the ones i have been dealing with. I just identified good markets for some items i have not been dealing with for quite a long time but unfortunately it came at a time when i was facing shortage of funds so that's why i call on you now. This loan is going to enable me purchase materials for making the items like the holders themselves, filler, paint ,certain wires ,painting brushes, varnish, thinner and superglue and also pay my co-workers. This will increase my income hopefully depending on the market's response which i truly believe in especially currently. Moreover, my co-workers are going to get some cash to improve their standards of living.

Thank you so much Zidisha for your continuous support. I received the Cash actually as i had applied for and right in time. A customer had placed an order of pens and pen holders while another placed an order of clocks and a three-in-one picture frame. Just as i was trying to live up to their demands, another asked for coat hangers so this is why i must say i received the cash on the time. I bought materials like pens, paints, pen holders themselves, and served my customer in time. Right now i am winding up clocks and the picture frame the deadline is soon so that i can come back to this third customer. Once again thank you for the loan because it has really boost me a great deal and it really keeps me going, thank you and God bless you.

Thanks zidisha for your continuous support. I would also like to thank our lenders especially now that they have responded to my application. Right now i have an order but not able to deliver because of shortage of materials like coat hangers, candle holders and pen holders, paints, filler and wires, so this money is going to purchase all these. This is going to help not inconvenience my customers so they also receive their order on time. Am very much grateful to you i must say and i hope for the best, Thank you.

Thank you so much Zidisha for your consideration of my application always ever since i joined. I am glad and pleasured with your aid because today i can satisfy my market on time and whenever they need me. Like the loan i just completed repaying helped me a great deal because it was during low season and a reliable customer called for some products(key rings, pen holders, memos and picture frames). I was therefore able to buy the materials i needed and pay my labourers. That loan really saved time as in i was able to catch up with the deadline i was given. After delivery i received my pay and so paid rent, paid tuition fee for my gal and bought some few resources that i was running out of. Thank to you Zidisha.

Hi Zidisha i want to appreciate you for lending me the money. I have been able to purchase materials and make new items that i introduced into the market. Amazingly they are selling to my unexpectation, all thanks to you. At least am able to refund the loan and raise a small profit to support the other products that i had been majoring on. Thank you so much.

I take this humble chance to first appreciate Zidisha sincerely for supporting me.I was able to purchase more materials that helped me extend into making other items to add onto what i had .From that i was able to sell well and that brought a slight difference in my life viz i cleared fee arrears for my daughter and bought few stationery for her. My earnings increased by 15% and that has really boosted me as a whole. Back then my sugarcane garden had not been weeded but right now it is weeded and my sugarcane is growing so fast, so that's another achievement i have seen. Currently, my garden is the talk of the day and that makes me want to appreciate Zidisha so much.

I appreciate for your response towards my application for loan.As i had stated,it was to help me boost my business during the festive seasons since the demand of my products was high.Indeed i placed it where it fitted and it really helped me.I was able to catch up with the market at that time very well but along the way, the market`s demand overtook me since a slight lack of capital appeared.Though this kind of set back has been with time,i have not given up because it is important that i live up to you to earn my trust. So therefore am trying very hard to pay as per my installment but lately,i am only able to raise the amount i have stated above.
