About Me

I was born and raised around Nakuru town in the Rift Valley Province of Kenya. I have a degree in education from Moi university in Kenya.
After my college education, I could not get formal employment and had to work as a 'matatu ' driver ferrying passengers from one town to another for two years.
I used the little amount of money that I had saved plus some more which I was loaned by a relative to start my business.
My country, Kenya, has extraordinary beauty both in terms geography and contrasting cultures from 42 diverse tribes. It's a choice destination for many tourists from all over the world.
I have a son who wishes to take up my hobby in computers and software as his future professional job.

My Business

I have a cybercafe and small retail shop that deals in electronic accessories.
The cybercafe caters to the people who need fast internet services, especially for government services accessed through the internet, e.g., the e-citizen website.
The retail shop sells small accessories such as phone chargers and batteries to people on transit through the town. I like my business as it augments my hobby in computers.
On average, my monthly costs range from KSh 20,000 to KSh 30,000 while revenues range from KSh 40,000 to KSh 60,000. The proceeds from the ventures are used for household needs, school fees, investment and some for recreational activities.

Loan Proposal

My next loan will be used to upgrade and improve the internet in the cyber.I want to buy new and better router and switch to handle the increased demand for services in the cyber.I also wish to increase the internet speed from 1mb to 5mb capacity. The higher bandwidth will be used to cater for customers who need government online services that use websites that are congested and are generally slow.Fast internet is a concern for anyone using a computer or even a mobile phone and thus having fast internet is a major selling point for any cyber cafe.
