About Me
My name is leguka teeka, am 26 years old a single mother to 3 year old son. I was born in Kajiado in Ngong. I attended sarare primary school then later Ngong hills secondary. I was not able to further my education because my parents were low income earners.
I started training hairdressing in one of the salons near me.
After learning for 2 years I gained the skills and was able to get a small space where I practiced.
Around 2015 I met the father to my child everything was OK till I got pregnant, he got so abusive to a point I feared for my life and that of my kid.
For our safety I decided to relocate to kisii where the residents have been very kind.
I was able to continue my hairdressing business which has cartered for all my needs and that of my child.
My Business
I own a small salon where I do all kind of hairdressing. I over blow dry, chemical treatments, hair dying and braiding.
I have run the business for almost 4 years now, there has been challenges but I have managed to get enough clients to sustain my business.
There equipments that I don't have yet, I hope with your help I'll be able to grow my business and make it better.
Loan Proposal
Am applying for a loan of 40000 kes to help me get stock to sell at my salon, this is a new venture that will help me increase my profits besides the braiding and other salon services I offer.
I will invest this amount in braids, and hair care products and my salon will benefit from this since I will be my first no. 1 customers, it will be cheaper since I will be buying the products at wholesale prices meaning I will be able to save more on the products for my salon.
Here is the inventory on how am going to split the loan,
I intend to invest 20000 kes on braids, this will help me get the various brands and types to meet my customer's needs,
Next item will be shampoos and hair conditioner, for this I will invest 10000 kes I will get different quantities to meet what customers may need.
The remaining 10000 kes I will invest it in hair products ranging from relaxers, food hair oil, curl activators and hair dye.
Before I decide on this I have done a field study and I discovered the products are not available and if they are most shops sell at a high price, for me I will target smaeprofits and huge sales this will help me get more customers.

Income Source
For my salon business I offer home services, where a client calls me to the house for the service they need, this has assured most of my customers and helped me retain and even gain more, more so when it comes to kids whose parents are not sure of them going out.
With my new venture I believe it will help me earn more and this will make it easier for me to repay this loan.
