About Me

My name is Dishon Okiya Maliga. I am married to a beautiful and loving wife. God has blessed us with 2 wonderful children, a boy and a girl. I was born and raised in Nairobi and i am the second last born in a family of 12 children. Our upbringing was not easy since my father retired when we were very little children. We ended up living in a slum where my mother struggled to educate us. I went to Khalsa Racecourse Primary School and later on joined Upper Hill School. When i completed High school i went to Utalii college where i took a Customer Service course. Upon completion i joined full time ministry as a pastor in 1998 until 2002 when the founder moved out of the country. 2 years later i started a printing business but on a low scale. I later on added supply of office stationery which i am doing up to now.

My Business

My business is called Cavid Business Enterprises and it is located in the Industrial area. I chose this place because i saw an opportunity that had not been tapped in the supply of office stationery. Most of the Companies and businesses use office stationery and they had to travel to the Central Business District to buy. This would cost them a lot of time because of traffic and money on fuel or transport. I decided to change the way business was done by opening a shop close to them and not only that i started supplying to their offices whenever they needed. This has given me good business and a lot of referrals. This is something that had not been done and has made the clients to prefer. My vision is to get a warehouse i can use to store more goods. This will make me reach more clients and more demands as they come. It will also create more job opportunities for others. Business has been good and i am able to pay all my bills, rent, restock and feed my family. My challenge currently is office space which is small and the computer i am using is old and unreliable. That is the same one i use for accounting, stoke keeping, records etc.

Loan Proposal

As we all know a good change should simplify the way things are done. When i get this loan i will buy a new desktop computer that i will be able to install new soft wares to assist me in being efficient in business. It is so embarrassing when there is an order and i want something from the computer then it hangs up especially when a client is around. There are cases where i have had to use files for storing crucial information for fear of loosing it so this will have to stop.
Having a new computer will save me money since i have been calling someone to repair it every now and then. When i am efficient and more customers are satisfied, i get more customers, business grows and i give more people an opportunity by employment.
