About Me

My name is Laureen imbuhila I was born on 23 October 1984 at Iguhu location Kakamega County; I attended Makhokho primary school for my primary education from 1990 to 1997, where I finished class 8. I later joined St Clare Maragoli secondary school in 1998 for my o level finishing in 2001. In 2003 I joined Kiambu institute of science and technology for a diploma course in lab technician finishing in 2005. Since then, I have worked with many schools in the same capacity until 2013 when I decided to venture into the world of self employment. In 2014 I relocated to the town of Nakuru and opened a Hair and beauty salon which also doubles as a training college of the same. A business i am doing up to date.

My Business

My business is basically specialized in Hair and beauty services. I started this kind of business when I realized there was much demand for this kind of service in Nakuru town and its environs. Armed with my little savings from my previous employment, I rented a business premise and equipped it with a startup kit which I obtained from the dealers on hire purchase. I was able to pull a good number of customers through advertisements in local magazines and pamphlets. In my effort I was able to complete payments of my machines in 8 months time. At one time, I was approached by a few young Girls who wanted to take training and that is how I emproyed three highly professional and qualified beauticians to support the salon, they have made this business one of great potential. Today I am training 15 students at any given time while keeping my fee to an affordable level. the worst challenge I am facing is luck of proper training equipments for our both practical and theory lessons. I appeal to all lenders to support me in this endvour by lending me generously.
