About Me

My name is Milton Alusa ,born and raised in Vihiga county but currently living in Busia county. I was born in a farming family in a family of 6.
I hold bachelors degree in Agricultural Economics from Egerton university . After graduating last year ,I got a job with a local NGO that deals with training and advisory for farmers in the region.I used to do home visits for farmers and help train them with financial planning. My contract ended because there was no more funding for the NGO and so I had to think of an alternative. That is when I started keeping dairy cattle.
Using my savings I bought a cow, it has given birth and is now lactating,so I sell milk to earn income. The business is lucrative and I am only looking for finances to expand it.
I have no kid at the moment, but have my siblings whom I am financing to go school. They all want to attain university level education and so I encourage them to work harder.

My Business

my business involves providing clean and nutritious milk to my clients. I always observe the food safety act to ensure my milk gets to the consumer in fresh and high quality state.
Milk is very vital in my area because i live near a hospital there are lots of mothers around who buy my milk for there kids ,a couple of farmers have contracted me to supply them with milk and therefore them demand far outweighs supply.
I usually spend $80 in a month to take care of my cows needs ,in a month I make $250 in revenue and about $170 in profit.
I use my profits for saving to buy another cow and paying fees for my siblings.

Loan Proposal

I take this opportunity to thank you once again for your incredible support,it takes kindness to commit resources to unknown person in some remote area in Africa. I must set my life is set to improve. I am requesting for a loan to finance digging up a borehole for my cattle. This will help me reduce labour costs for getting water long distance from the river and because dairy cattle needs constant adequate supply of water, the borehole is very vital for my farm. Thank you so much and greet everyone. I love you all.
