About Me

am francis maweu, 24 years old. i managed to complete my primary education in 2006 and was unable to go any further in education.this is because of the poverty level of our family. am the last born in a family of eleven members.my childhood life was hectic as my parents do not have any profession. father used to work as a watchman and mother a housewife.
father struggled to put food on the table for us, and hence was not able to pay school fees to all of us in secondary school though we all managed to go up to standard eight.
after completing primary level i went to a local poly-technique to study a course in driving. after completing the course i tried to look for a job as a driver without success. i then thought of starting a business of selling shoes in order to help in raising money for food and personal things including clothing as i wanted to be independent. am currently running the business since, which is growing very fast due to the fact that the shoes are highly demanded and so fast moving.
am single and i like vising the sick and the elderly in the community to help them.i once acted as a Sunday school teacher in my local church for two years. i also like swimming and watching football games

My Business

my business involves selling shoes at our local market. the shoes are a mixture of brand new and second hand shoes. the shoes are of good quality hence their demand is high. their quality involves their long lasting nature before getting torn.
i chose this type of business because the second hand shoes are cheap and durable thus customers trust them.they are willing to readily buy them as they last longer. this being hard economic times people want to buy products which serve their purpose without failure. again the customers can afford them as they are relatively cheap. on the other hand the brand new shoes are a bit higher in price but they are also durable and of high quality.
the second hand shoes go for around 3$ and fetch a profit of up to double their cost. the brand new ones cost from 7$ and also fetch double profit. am able to raise an average net profit of 23$ daily . thus repaying back your loan won't be a problem.
the profit i get i buy inventory for reinvestment in order to grow the business and also for personal/ home improvements. i also support a church project for the youth back at home each month besides supporting my family.

Loan Proposal

once the zidisha community trusts me with the loan, i intend to use 70$ for new shoes that are not already available in my business and which is highly demanded by my customers. i will use 12$ for rent of my business shop and the remaining 23$ to pay my employees salary. i have saved 100$ which i plan to add to the loan to help me rent another shop to expand my business.
this will significantly boost my business as more sells will be made which will automatically raise my daily income.this means more daily profit. my business will benefit me through increased sells and profit. i will be able to make an achievement of creating employment to others. am also planning to open another branch due to the demand for shoes.
i expect the daily profits to shoot from 23$ to 50$ per day. this is a big boost to my business. all in all my plan to support the needy and orphan children at a local orphanage will come to pass once my business thrives well. i hope you will consider my application and promise to commit myself to repay the money back as per the requirements. thank you in advance
