I am Mr. Samwel Nyangi. I am a building technician by profession and my main professional duties include supervision of buildings on construction sites.
I hail from Rongo Village, Homa Bay County in Nyanza region of Kenya. The main economic activity in Rongo is fishing at Lake Victoria. Lake Victoria is the second largest freshwater lake in the world, hence a main tourist attraction in Kenya. Other tourist attraction sites in my area include Ruma National Park bordering Lake Victoria. The Luo community is well known for a rich cultural heritage not limited to traditional songs, dances, dressing, rituals, etc. Nyanza region hence poses as a strong attraction destination for tourists.
I identified a gap in the building and construction sector especially in the supply of building materials and inputs. Hence, I got into the business of making and supplying man made bricks which are more cost effective and affordable compared to other bricks naturally mined and supplied by big firms. My business targets middle and low income earners who can hardly afford to buy bricks from big firms. My business offers customized solutions to the customers.
My business has a cash flow of $1500 per month with the major revenue coming from sales of man made bricks and supply of labour. I plan to repay the loan using proceeds from my business.
the new loan will enable me to purchase additional raw materials for the production due to new orders that we have received form government leaning institutions. this will enable us benefits abetter pay to my staff/ laborers based on the previous performance that has made getting to the level I am at the moment. current am expecting 70%increas towards my frofit compared to prviouse loan.
due to the on going out break, I will be working on the new order which was placed by private leaning institution for the college renovations and additional class rooms and workshops of 15,000 pcs of blocks required,
precaution has been taken into considerations, I have 4 laborers who always stays withing the yard and all the preventive requirements by world health organization we have put in place.
trasporteting of raw materials is alowed by the goverment outhority under permit.
