I am Priscilla Mensah, born in Accra, Ghana, and hail from the Eastern Region of Ghana, a country in West Africa with hospitality as the hallmark of its citizens. I am the first of 3 children of my mum. I had a very great childhood with my dear dad by my side until I lost him in my final year at high school. I had my high school education at Mfantsiman Girls' and proceeded to the University of Ghana where I read Psychology and Political Science. I have always loved cooking and have the flair for anything culinary. At an early age, it had always been my dream to own a restaurant and in March 2015, I started a restaurant as a joint partner and by God's grace, I have been able to start ABK's Eat-In on my own.
ABK's Eat-In is a company that runs culinary services for its clients. It started operation on 11th October, 2017 and serves only local Ghanaian dishes at the moment. It is our vision to be a restaurant and employer of choice in our country. We also plan on adding several continental dishes to our menu and so our profits are reinvested back into the business for growth. At the moment, our place is quite small and it is on our plan to get a bigger place with more serenity so customers can feel at home and we hope Zidisha can support us to achieve this goal.
I operate a restaurant and also supply food stuff to a few homes and to customers who buy and sell to other consumers. Because this is a food business and something man can’t do without, there’s always demand for it. I want to grow my customer base because there’s demand for it and I’m unable to meet it at times because I get cash trapped at times but on acquisition of the loan, I’d be able to procure more food stuff and supply a lot more customers than the usual.
