About Me

I am an ordinary Kenyan born and raised in a humble background in the rural Rift Valley region. I grew up in both rural and urban settings under care of my granny. In the year 2007 my life and those of others was overturned by post-poll violence in Kenya. My family lost everything in the ethnic war and we've had to start all over again since then. Having been a brilliant person in school, my dreams and future were shattered.

I now reside in Burnt Forest town where I have reinvented my life and tried to earn through hard work despite misfortunes in the past. I work as a self employed videographer, motion designer and a small businessman to try and make ends meet.

My Business

I have involved myself in many businesses having failed to secure a job in my country after college. I own a small mobile money transfer shop (Started with previous Zidisha loan) and I also work as a videographer, photographer.

Loan Proposal

I will use all the money to buy a Canon 700D/Rebel T5i dslr camera. This camera will breath new look life to my small company. Normally, I hire this camera for $50 per day which has proven not to be cost effective. At the end of the day, I deliver to clients but end up with no money in my coffer.

My rationale is: instead of paying $50 hiring fee per day to other people, I can use a Zidisha loan and pay the $50 weekly installments and still have the camera at hand for future works. That is why I need your help.

Even though my overall credit score is not that impressive (18%, I am ashamed) I am no longer on the previous situation that led to a low credit score. Before my previous loan, I barely provided for my family. But with the loan, I started a mobile-money transfer business which is doing well, even though it lowered my repayment score to raise my living threshold. This time, things are way more better and defaulting on installments is out of the equation.

Thank you.
