About Me

My name is Daniel. I live in Mombasa city having relocated here two years ago. I was born in central Kenya where I attended my primary and secondary school education. I then joined my brother who does business in Mombasa.

During my stay in Mombasa, I enrolled for a short course in computer applications where I learned a number of standard computer packages. I later did a course in video editing which later helped me a lot when I opened a studio slightly over a year ago.

My Business

After completing my course, m,y brother helped with some finances to start up a small studio where I do video editing work for my clients. The work entails working on raw video to an output that a client desires - usually in form of DVDs.

It is a fairly new business but through hard work, I have gained a number of clients. I want to build on this success to grow the business even bigger in the years to come. I am currently making about $150 per month after all the expenses are paid. This is the money that I use for my upkeep. I am hoping that this amount will keep growing with time.

Loan Proposal

I now need to buy a high quality camera for doing my work. I am currently using a very basic camera with a low resolution which is limiting me in many ways. With a better camera, I will be able to cover big events such as corporate and big weddings.

The type of camera I want to buy will cost me $180. The maintenance cost for this will be very low since I will be using memory sticks instead of films.
