I chose the food sector owing to the fact that food is non seasonal and a mandatory item on the family budget.
Currently, I'm doing farming with an aim of combining farming and agricultural products supply in the near future.

My Business

Currently, I have diversified into farming. Agriculture is an evergreen industry and is the backbone of my country's economy.


People must eat irrespective of the economic conditions of the time.

Peas have a huge demand in Kenyan towns especially in Nairobi and Mombasa. I have started farming this economically sustainable crop in Nyandarua County which is one of the main peas-producing counties due to the cold climate that suits the crop. Since there are many farmers here, market is readily available because resellers are guaranteed a supply of peas all year round.

Nyandarua is also moderately populated and this ensures availability of agricultural land for lease.

I have the technical know-how and the passion for success in Agriculture. I hope to utilise the funding I get from zidisha to gradually expand my farming enterprise.

Loan Proposal

I use a charcoal-powered oven. Unfortunately, getting charcoal has been very stressful due to a government ban on charcoal burning and transport.
Accordingly, briquettes are now the better option. Unfortunately, there are not many people who sell briquettes in my neighborhood. Those who sell at good prices tend to be far and they prefer people who order viable quantities.
This loan will help me order this fuel in bulk.
