About Me

My name is Ramathan kariuki .born in Nakuru county.Nakuru is a cosmopolitan any county very unique all the tribes of Kenya live here hence connecting all the other counties in terms of location plus East Africa hence very good in business .I am married with 2kids in primary school my childhood was very challenging since I grew up in a home of single mother who was jobless she depended on casual jobs in peoples farms to feed us .we are 4in number I am the first born .I went to school but could not complete due to lack of fees.I only reached class 8. I decided to start sorting my mum at an early stage .I got small casual jobs to support her buy food and pay rent I started to save small money in a bank which helped me go for driving school .I got a driving license after which igot a friend who introduced me to transport business I started driving public vehicles by different Sacco's and saved money until I bought a small car Toyota 110 that was cheap just 1000dollars .I began my own business .my Hobie's include music local tourist watching movies

My Business

My business is on trans port I offer services to people especially at night mostly local my main customers are people in pubs who drink at night .the rules in our country Kenya is pubs don't operate during the day so my business is at night I pack my car as acab and put asignpost taxi I have advitised my number in most pubs and hospitals my clients call me any where hence I am mobile this business is very challenging since its seasonal sometimes business is high and sometimes its low when its end month I get many clients especially in pubs after people earn salaries.the demand is very high since my customers trust me when I have many customers I engage my partners who are also in business to pick my customers and they pay me commission my typical costs include doing maitanance intterms of servicing the car paying government levies which I pay on monthly basis 30dollars insurance cover every year covers 300dollars.I also pay 10dollars saving to our Sacco society which we have formed as an association .the gross income I get daily is about 50dollars per day in a month I get1500dollars after deductions of levies maitanance costs traffic costs I remain with 300dollars only which I use to pay my rent pay fees buy food my dream is to have a fleet of other 5cars emlploy drivers that will help capture all my customers I hope zidisha will help me achieve my goal
