About Me

Farming has always been my favourite venture. my parents were small scale farmers doing both crop farming for local market and zero grazing. we had two mixed breed cows that provided not much income but enough to keep a family of 8 going.
we used to fetch water with buckets to irrigate the whole vegetables farm after school. I didn't like it then because of the fatigue but the yields and having customers coming to buy the products always made me happy. I always thought if we could do more to produce enough for the whole village and other customers.
Through this farming my parents saw the 8 of us through with our education.
I pursued a university degree in Nursing which I like so much because it's service to man and services to God...but am still in love with farming.
Farming has potential to change lives of many, a whole community, if only much more effort is put in it, little more mechanisation and modernisation, embracing the current technology.
Farming can create jobs to many people, it can provide food for many. Access to Healthy food is very expensive simply because the production is low. The organic products, green vegetables and fruit in most big shopping malls and in urban centres are always over priced making access to fresh farm products difficult for the bigger population. Bearing in mind the gross danger and risks of taking unhealthy diets ranging from obesity, diabetes and heart conditions to the possible risk of cancer especially from taking products that are likely to have fungi and other microorganisms contamination and possible direct harm and the effects of the toxins they produce.

I thought, increasing food production will increase our food security and access to healthy food for the general population, as well as reducing poverty, creating jobs, improving health of our people, and improve quality of life for many in developing countries.

My Business

I started crop farming while still at the university with the little capital I could get. It has always paid despite of many challenges faced in open field farming, climate change and scarcity of water as well as the fluctuating market and lack of proper storage when the produce is more.

Having gained vital experience in various farming venture since 2015 have seen the enormous potential in agribusiness, I now purpose to do farming in large scale to provide Healthy food for the ever growing population as well as create jobs.

Loan Proposal

Organic fertilizers ensure quality and quantity of crop yield when applied at the right time and it is necessary to for production of healthy crops that will meet market standards and fetch a good price for maximum returns. I therefore wish to buy the fertilizers to boost my vegetables yields. From the data that have kept from my farming experience, a quarter acre piece of land will require twenty five kilograms of mixed fertilizer. A kilogram of organic fertilizer goes for one us dollar and therefore the an budget of 30 USD will be able to provide adequate manure for the plot of land

Income Source

Due to the current economic climate the demand for staple food crops has been slightly affected by the reduced flow of money in the economy.
Due to this I have planted vegetables in different maturity levels to ensure production for a longer period, to ensure my customers are well supplied with the vegetables they need throughout the year, and also keep the revenue when the first crop is over. I will start selling vegetables which are ready for market from next week as I continue caring for the new crops. The fertilizer will help ensure good quality and quantity yields as well as good market price for the vegetables and other crops in the farm. With the sales from the much needed produce I will be able to timely repay the loan and save some cash for other activities in the farm.
