I grew up in nakuru county. When growning up I used to plait grass when we were left to look after the goats by my mum and had a lot of interest in plaiting . Slowly by slowly I was able to plait hair for my friends and so developed an interest in making hair, by the time I was through with my secondary education I was sure I wanted to do something to do with beauty. I. Enrolled on in hairdressing school and there is where I learnt everything to do with hair which has become a very good way of earning a living I have worked in the salon for a long time and also have trained quite a number of young girls. Amaya dream is to have a number of salons and a big training institution for hair so can help a those who might want to train and cannot afford the expensive colleges available I the country. I believe my dreams will come true one day that's why I work very hard to make this happen. The only problem that might be there is finances ,this being the main reason why I am looking for finances.
The business is a hair and beauty salon .We do hair chemical treatment, hair dyeing, manicure, pedicure, massage, plaiting hair, hair cuts etc. I started this business 3 years ago when an opportunity presented itself.I have trained in hair and beauty and was previously a trainer in a hair dressing college. I needed to move away from training and do business of hair and beauty parlour. The biggest challenge is workers who sometimes leave without notice and also we charge a lower price for students. My customers are Youth TV staff and students from egerton university,Kenya Methodist university and kabarak university in nakuru. IN future i Would like to expand and open high end branches in Nakuru. Am happy about my business because we make people to look beautiful and younger .
I want to add more products for the shop some for use by clients and others for sale.I buy at wholesale price and sell at a higher price. The products will cost kshs 5000 and I already have 3000 as my savings. I will buy the goods at wholesale price which is cheaper and gives greater margins. My business will grow as I will add a new profit line through product sales. The loan will help my family live well, eat a balanced diet, and have some money to go on holiday after the December sales.
