I am young Kenyan who has found it hard like many other Kenyans to secure a job. I am IT trained and used to have a good job in the years 2005 to 2007 when the election violence rocked our country. I was working in a volatile area and had to leave all my belongings to save my life. It has been job application after job application with no luck and money to advance my education. I have since then bought a water pump and jumped into the construction center after advice from a close friend who has succeeded in the same water pump business.
While based in Kahawa West, I am now in the construction industry through my water pump business. I have a unique advantage of coupling it with my IT skills for small wiring jobs. I do not have the capital to do everything now plus build a business is a process which in my opinion, i am on the right track. I need to buy a few things that will ensure I offer the best services to clients and eventually buy another pump to be able to tackle more than one job at once.
Thanks to zidisha, business has been growing which will be attributed to my recent efficiency. This also translates to new challenges, and my immediate is the ability to pick a second job and have both running at the same time, I plan to effect this by buying two large containers which i will use on to hold water on one construction site, rush to the next job when i get one and hold water in the second container. I will be rushing from the first to second to do a refill and constructions will run effectively on both.
