About Me

I was born in Suna village in Suna East sub-county in Migori county. This is where I also grew up. My upbringing was full of challenges. We lacked very basic necessities (at times missing meals). I stayed with my parents in a poorly thatched grass house which even leaked when it rained.

Our lifestyle as a family was deplorable. I however managed to start a small business and get married. I moved from my home town of Migori to Kisii with my wife and started assembling improved cook stoves in 2000 with the help of a relative who had ventured into that business earlier. I am still operating my business at Kisii Jua Kali shades near Daraja Mbili market.

After my class eight examination, I tried to raise funds for my secondary school education from well wishers, but did not succeed.

My dream for the future is to expand my business further to enable me feed and educate my children to the highest level of education.

My Business

I assemble stoves My biggest challenge is how to raise extra capital to enable me to expand my production capacity and even diversify into other lines of ICS for better earnings.

Loan Proposal

This loan will enable me to buy more ICS assembling materials, make and sell more stoves and consequently make more profit. Part of what I make will be reinvested into the business. I will use the remaining to support my family ensuring that our standard of living improves.
