I have a diploma in business management and a trained secretary. Currently, I have begun a chicken farming business since I inherited a piece of land from my parents. My area of residence is Syokimau which is a big backyard. I started this business after being gifted 3 hens and 2 roosters. I have kept them for a whole year mainly for just eggs for home use. I recently started doing research on chicken farming and I found it to be very lucrative. I have so far expanded it and have a total of 2 roosters, 8 hens and 41 chicks.
So I plan to expand this business to sell eggs and chicken meat. Currently, I am getting 8 eggs every day which means it takes 4 days for a tray to fill up. So in a week, I have approximately 2 trays of eggs. I thereafter sell the eggs. Each tray fetches $6.50 so in a week I get $13. I spend $6 on feeds which last for two weeks. I also supplement the food with a garden I have in the backyard where they feed on greens. I already have the chicken coop which is spacious and laying points, sickbay in case of sickness. I also have feeders and drinkers. I am looking to get financial assistance to be able to buy more feeds especially for the chicks and also medication that is needed at times. My research showed that for this venture to be profitable, it needs the chicken to be more so that one can get more on eggs.
With a loan of $50, I can be able to purchase 10 dresses @ $5 each from the local market. I will resale the dresses at $10 minimum through online. If I sell a minimum of 2 dresses a week, I can comfortably repay my loan of $8.75 per week. I will have cleared my loan in seven weeks or less. Since I sell my dresses online, I will not incur expenses such as rent, gas etc. This is just the beginning but I would also like to look into starting to selling ladies shoes and handbags. I will also venture into selling kids second hand dresses as there is a thriving market for it also. I will start with a market trial for the kids clothes to see the market reaction before fully going into it. I also have my online job as a backup should the dresses not move fast so as to pay my loan on time.
