MY STORY
Am Alberta Addae Asantewaa, 22 years of age and a graduate of University of Education, a good entrepreneur whose aim is to build my own business. All I do is the sale of cosmetics and hair products. I travel to one of the cities in Ghana to buy these products, which I sell on market days in my town and other nearby towns and communities. On weekends I carry on my head and move from house to house to sell. I like selling and trading in general and as such selling of these products for about four years ago is what has kept me to this moment and seen me through in my last one year of education. Though my first three years in school had not been easy for me in terms of finance, but if I was not introduced to this business by a friend, I would have been a drop out in my final year. She gave me some of her products to sell and gives me a commission based on the sales I will made. This helped me to pay for my fees and was able to complete my education. I currently work with King of Kings International School as a part time teacher in Dormaa Municipal.
I come from Dormaa Ahenkro in the Brong Ahafo region of Ghana where I had my basic and secondary education. I am the first born of four children to my parents, growing up from a large family like mine wasn't easy but through commitment and hardwork which was instilled in me by my mother I never gave up but saw beyond the sky as my limit. I was introduced to this business by a friend who had dropped out from school and had taken care of her two younger sisters through their secondary education with this cosmetics business. After I completed school I decided to establish my own business from the saving i had made and just within a short period I made it a serious and permanent business until I was employed as a part time teacher. I am still doing my business and want to see it grow.
I currently live in Dormaa Ahenkro which is located in the Dormaa Municipality of the Brong Ahafo region. It is a very cosmopolitan community with people from different backgrounds. The major form of economic activity here is farming and trading.
ABOUT MY BUSINESS
I am in the sales of cosmetics and hair products, I have a lot of different body creams, body sprays for both males and females and hair retouching products which people buy every day at home and market place and this is generating a good profit for me and as such I want to see my business grow so that I can rent a shop and to also serve as an avenue to employ others who have no work to do. My customers are really appreciative of my work and service.
I would be glad to get this loan to be able buy more of cosmetics products to grow my business so that I can rent a shop to employ an attendant in order to be able to fight the unemployment situation around here and also be able to make good profit so as to be able to pay back. Thank you.
I will buy groceries in My Beauty Shop.
This will enable My in My Stock intake and My Capital as well.
I believe I can open other business for My Sisters Who are idle.
My profit margin is to increase by 70% due to My hard-work and experience
in the Business. I am also expecting My sisters to join Me in the Business whereas
We can expand the Beauty Shop and even open some of the Shop for Other People
Who are also serious to work as Entrepreneurs.
