I am the first born in a family of three girls and one boy.I come from Nyanza Imbo Usenge in Siaya county. My mother was the first wife and we all lived together in a happy home with both parents. My dream is to live a self sufficient life where I do not have to beg for bread and my children fail to go to school due to lack of tuition.
I sell fish. The business helps me and my family meet our basic needs.I decided to start this business because it is convenient,I do not travel to go and sell.I only travel when am going to bring the product for sale.Whenever we want to eat fish I take from my stalk and pay it back in order to avoid loses.I do not need to handle very cold water in the morning as I did before when I ventured in vegetable business which you have to wash and cut for customers to buy.My biggest challenge is the city council who give me hard time because I do not have a licence for the business, another challenge is a stall where my customers can get me whenever they want fish.I sell on a veranda and some neighbors are not very happy with that. They say I am obstructing there way and their children do not have enough space to play.My customers are everybody who eats fish,buy-passers and some neighbors too.My goal is to be a store owner (wholesaler) who supplies fish to the retailers around and far.Being able to have a stalk always for my customers whenever they want to purchase fish.
The loan basically is for expansion of my business.I want to start bringing a variety of fish e.g Tilapia and Nile perch.
will attract more customers which will translate in more revenue.he impact of the business by the loan will be in my capital and profit. My life will change totally and that of my family as we shall also be investing in our children's future and expanding our income.
