About Me

I was born in Shivakala village in 1991 as a forth born child in a family of seven, four boys and three girls of whom the third born girl passed on when she was still an infant. I started by education in Shivakala primary school in 1997 and did my Kenya certificate of primary education in 2008. After my primary education i trained as a mason and latter as a driver. I was employed by as a motor cycle operator in 2011 and after in 2013 after managing to save some money i bought my own motor bike that i am currently using for my daily business. Kakamega town is a growing town and most of its feeder roads are not tarmac so making public transport a challenge and their is where i come in handy i am married and look forward to having kids, i love traveling.

My Business

After training as a driver i was employed as a motor bike operator for three years, during that time i was able to save money and in 2013 i got my own motor bike and that's where i make my income. i make an average of Ksh. 600 ($6) per day and spend an average of Ksh.200 ($2) on petrol when i am within town. i choose this kind of business because of the increasing demand for fast and reliable transport to the feeder roads. The proceeds from my business have helped me build my own house pay for merry go round weekly, pay for liabilities.

Loan Proposal

i would like to fit the motor bike with an umbrella service my motor bike and do some improvement in my house by purchasing a fuel efficient cooking stove and connecting my house with electricity. This will enable efficiency in my business and lower my expenses both at work and house. The umbrella will enable me operate even during the rain and the cooking stove and connection of electricity will lower my house expenses as electricity is far much cheaper compared to the lantern lamps i use. The cost of an umbrella is Ksh.5000 $50 the cost of servicing my bike is Ksh.3000 $30 and the cost of connecting my house with electricity including piping and wiring plus labor is around Ksh.25000 $250 i look forward to your lending as you help me improve my life and business.
