About Me

I was born some 24 years ago in Baringo County in the Rift valley, Kenya's largest former province. I grew up there and studied my primary education there until I finished that level and attained a Kenya certificate of Primary Education with higher marks. My parents were extremely happy that they took me to a provincial school where I studied my secondary Education. This was not to end here, in my form four, I passed and scored a B + plus and later joined a local Maasai Mara University. Here I studied my undergraduate degree in Economics and graduated last year with first class honors.
I started a small venture of rearing sheep and pigs when I was a 2nd year in university. I could not avoid it because it was my dream business. One thing about a community where I come from, women are not allowed to rear any animal but my father was a civilized man, he gave me a go a head. and when I started, I was of course condemned but later they got tired and let me go on with my venture. I wish that my children also have the same.

My Business

As described above, I just rear pigs and sheep which in our community are considered valuable especially during such ceremonies as cleansing, initiation or circumcision ceremony, Funerals etc. So far I have 7 sheep and four pigs which I have managed to have in my flock.
One sheep currently goes at a price of 3000 kes and a pig goes at Kes. 4000. cumulatively, my venture is worth almost Kes. 37,00.
am now timing the coming festive season of Easter holidays where I know am going to resale these flock and my profits will rise by double.

Loan Proposal

As I have already mentioned above, I already have a flock, which is not enough.I aim to have as many animals as possible which will help me to be crowned a Tugen woman hero.
I sek to raise 100 dollars here which will help me buy the animals as follows;
One sheep @ Kes. 3000
one Pig @ Kes. 4000
and a silage for the animals from the remaining amount.
Typically , all the money will go towards purchase of the said animals for rearing and resale.Kindly help me achieve this goal.
