About Me

I am a married man who aspires to be a successful business man. Luckily, I am already in business, I have a retail shop where I buy large amounts of basic household goods and repackage them to sell at a profit. I have successfully completed secondary school education after which I started working with my uncle in Kitale town. From my uncle, I have gained so much experience in business and that is why i relocated to Miti Mingi to Start my own small shop which has grown to a large shop. I love watching movies and visiting places during my free time.

My Business

My shop is popularly known as Thuo's Shop in Miti Mingi. It involves selling basic household items such as foodstuffs (rice, maize floor, sugar, salt etc) and other consumables and non-consumables like umbrellas. In a typical month, I am able to calculat a profit of Kshs. 30000 gross and daily sales of more than 12000. this means that my shop is sustainable and if I can manage and grow a shop, I can also handle loans. I am greatly inspired by my friends who have businesses and seeing them struggle incessantly makes me keep going. I want to make my shop a wholesale in future because Miti Mingi is rapidly growing both as business and trading centre.

Loan Proposal

i wish to purchase three bags of sugar for my shop.one bag of sugar costs 45 us dollars.therefore 3 bags will cost me 135 us dollars.from these sale of sugar ,i am sure i will earn a profit of 30 us dollars per week. with such income i will comfortably pay 11 us dollars per week to zidisha.

    Hi Lenders
Still following up on Peters issue and he wants to reduce his weekly instalments. So i have encouraged him to pay the first instalment in full first (he paid half of it) so that i am able to help him change his instalment amount.
He has promised to do that tommorrow. Will n keep you updated.

    Hi Lenders!
I finally was able to find Peter on phone. He has got some network issues around his area hence the problem locating him through his mobile. He has been having financial issues because the loan disbursed after deducting the Loan Fund he dint remain with anything therefore it become hard to start paying. After explaining to him the importance of the Deposit Fund we agreed that starting this Sunday he is going to update all the payments.
I realise also that the initial instalment amount he quoted was too high and after realising he cannot do the adjustments himself and I am far from him I called the Person who invited him to Zidisha Mr Geoffrey Waweru to help with the adjustments before Sunday so that he can offset the arears. I also requested Mr Geoffrey Mwangi to follow Peters progress keenly because he is his very good friend and let me know incase of any problem.
I wish Peter all the best! Happy new year Peter

I would really start by thanking the zidisha Organisation. The loan you funded me with enabled me to have surplus stock for the festive season and I managed to get a profit of approximately 17,000 in a period of two weeks. I managed to buy two chairs for my young family since I got married in September this year and my living standards have really improved .For the new loan application, I want to introduce back to school commodities such as books, pens, pencils and several uniforms and shoes too. may God bless you abundantly.

for the last 3 weeks my business has given me a return profit of 150 us dallars.with such profit I believe I can manage to pay such a higher instalment. I also believe that paying my loan faster will give my fellow borrowers that golden opportunity to borrow money and improve their business. your loan has taken me far and also improving my living standards. thanks alot zidisha Organisation.
