I grew up in here in Kisii county and life in my family was very difficult due to poverty and also being raised by a single mother who had no formal employment. I only went to school upto secondary level and could not proceed to the university due to lack of money to pay school fees but i managed to attend a technical school to train in carpentry. Currently i am in Kisii town and i have a workshop there.. I like my business and i have a dream of expanding it in future to a bigger business in future
I own and operate a carpentry shop here in Kisii town where i make beds, seat and wooden doors that i sell for my customers. I started this business 3 years ago as a way of earning a living for my family and also as away of creating employment for myself. My greatest challenge at the moment is lack of capital to expand my business. In a good month i make profits of between $ 100 - $130 depending on the demand. I use my profits to buy materials and save a little in the bank. I have great vision ahead and i hope one day to open multiple branches in this town.
i am going to use this loan to buy timber stock for use in my carpentry workshop which may cost around $ 160. This will boost my business profitability and this money will helps me i finding capital to expand the business and also for improving my family living standards
