My name is Syprose Matagaro 24 years old. I am a mother of two children and a entrepreneur doing business to sustain my family to better my future and for my family. I started school in my local primary school where my parents supported me using resources from small scale farming of vegetables. During my time in primary school life was hard because I saw how my parents struggled to put food on the table and at the same time pay school fees for me and my siblings. The kind of life I went through strengthened me to face future life with resilience. I passed my examination well then joined secondary school. Here I too passed my final examination well but did not proceed to college level because of finances. I was then determined to start a business to sustain my life.
I started a simple business where I use my own power to earn a living. I started washing clothes for people who who are willing to pay for the service. I found the business cheap to start and easy to manage because I needed only manpower. I later grew my business buy adding other services such as ironing clothes after drying them. I go round the homesteads collecting clothes to wash, sundry them and then iron them for my customers. I am planning to expand my business in future to buy washing machines to bundle the large amount clothes in a day.
I will buy a water tank that I will use to store water that I will use wash clothes. Because my business uses a lot of water and the water resource is scarce. In the future I will have to expand my business and buy washing machine employ people to help me.
I also sell face masks which are in high demand during this time of Corona. Face masks provide alternative source of income that I can use to repay the loan.
