About Me

Am Kenyam lady aged 24 years. Born and brought up in Murang'a county. I attended a local primary school, i was a bright pupil and mostly topped in my class and even my division. I later transferred to a boarding school as i had to walk for some kilometres to get to the nearby school. Having joined boarding at class three i got real life experinces, i had to be independent, industrious to cope up with the boarding life. Beeing away from my family was not easy but i knew it was for the best. I excelled well in my KCPE exams and joined a nice high school. In high school i realised my passion for art, with the help of my teachers i was able to explore my love for art to entrepreneural level. I designed tshirts for my classmates and printed them manually during the weekends. I passed my KCSE exams and was admitted at Kenyatta University where i studied Fashion Design & Marketing. Campus was the eye opener that in deed art is not only a hooby but also a bussiness to venture in. Despite the many challenges that come in achieving my set goals i believe that success does not come easy and repeated actions and determination will get me there, patience is my greatest motivation. My home people are unique in there own way, we believe in entreprenuership and as a community society groups are highly appreciated as a means of saving. My all time hobby is cleaning,i love clean space around me!

My Business

I have ventured in Graphic dsign and printing of tshirts. I print trendy and fashionable tshirts for individuals or even companies (branding purposes). I chose to venture in it due to my love for art and i easily understood the business. The market is readiy available as clothes is a basic need and Kenyans have embrased branding from companies to individuals. looking best ,unique and having a distinctive look is human desire. My costs include printing inks, chemicals electricity, casual laborers and tshirts. I print at my house hence no rent expences. I reinvest back my profits so that my business grows, this will assist me to compete effectively with bigger bussinesses in the same industry. Il use this loan to buy a dryer from a local fabricator. I have been drying print using iron box, this is time consuming, the dryer will allow mass drying .

Loan Proposal

I will use the loan to buy a dryer from the local fabricator. As a small business this dyer will work for the time been. The dryer will ease drying process,i have been using iron box which is time consuming. Iron box allows drying of one tshirt at a time, this dryer will allow mass drying. It will also mean il employ less casual labores who did the ironing. Electricity costs will decline too. The overall gain is printing will be faster and neater as iron box leaves undesired marks on the printed tshirts.
