My Business

MY BUSINESS IS BUYING AND SELLING OF CEREALS

My business entails a cereals shop at the shopping center. I sell all sort of cereals that range from maize, peas, millet, beans, wheat, and other grains.

My business is located at Kiptangwanyi trading center which is approximately thirty five kilometer (35km) from Nakuru, my business include buying and selling of cereals and farming as a small scale farming at Kiptangwanyi trading center. I started my business after seeing there is high demand for the cereals especially in boarding school and in our locality, my business is located in Kiptangwanyi trading center where I have a store, i am the manager of the business because I the one who own the business and it is named after my name. The business Is located at a strategic position because it is located in Kiptangwanyi were there is high production for the cereals on the entrance to the nyariada farm were it is known in Nakuru county for production of farm produce, thus making me to attract more farmers also there is less competition for business offering the same business thus making the business profitable and I sell the product at favorable cost because I do not use much money in transporting the produce to my store also i buy the product at lower price during harvesting time where there is high production of farm produce, also being a small scale farmer I am known by many farmer in our area. My stock is worthy ksh 75000, but I continue to buy more cereals gradually, but during this period I am expecting to buy more because it is harvesting period, but the main challenge facing my business is lack of money as to fulfill my goal which is to expand my store for more storage during this harvesting season and to create employment.
My short term goal is to crate employment among people whose work is to transport cereals from the farm to my store .My long term goal is to expand my business in a position of selling my produce to other major town such as Nakuru and Nairobi. My business is licensed under the county council of Nakuru municipality to make it legal. My typical monthly cost is khs 75000, sale revenue is around ksh 50000 and profit is above 25000 but I am planning to earn more from the business.

Loan Proposal

Dear lenders,
It is unfortunate that my loan has expired with only 2% remaining to be fully funded. I am again here applying afresh for my loan and hope it will be funded soon. I wish to use the loan that I will be offered to purchase a poshomill. This I wish to use to convert most of the cereals that I sell into flour. This will be value addition to my products and hopefully it will increase my income. The poshomill will cost about 600US dollars. I am going to get about 490US dollars from this loan and hopefully I will be able to purchase a new poshomill. Thank you all lenders.
